You guys wanna know why Perry didn’t start last year?

So that's on Richt and recruiting better talent and EE

So if a kid is considered the best QB in Florida and can launch a football at 177 pounds but can’t read read a Defense then Richt needs to recruit better? Are you retarded?

no i'm not but thanks for asking, when we dont have a QB that can win games then we need to bring in better talent. we had Rosier and that was it this year. Shirreffs came in a couple times and he was God awful. and he was our 2nd option. our 3rd option was in the film room. so if Rosier got hurt he had nothing. We need to bring in better talent. There are freshman QB's that win games all around the country why cant we get any of them??? We would have been in worse shape then FSU with Blackmon if Rosier got hurt.
If we had the luxury of letting a freshmen learn and grow in the system thats fine for perry to do that if we had a great starting qb and good back up. but we need a QB that can play and win games. sorry i guess im just a ****** that wants to win games

You’re retarded...he brought in the QB talent. Allison wasn’t his guy and he tried to bring Eason late but Eason said no. It’s not his fault that he was handed an extremely top heavy QB room with a lackluster backup who’d didn’t study tape either. He got his guy in Perry and locked Williams down within a month and a half after clearly getting it wrong...and now it looks like he got it right. LOL at “he needs to recruit better” when we haven’t seen his QB recruits play.

Ok so with all that you said, my point still stands why cant his guy(Perry)come in and win the starting job from a "lackluster backup who’d didn’t study tape either" ? when other freshmen are playing and doing great and taking there teams to the title games?

Because he wasn’t an early enrollee and can’t read defenses/study tape! At least Malik had a year to learn! **** your dense...if we threw him out there he becomes James Blackman. It literally tells you in the article why he didn’t play. Did you want Richt to throw him out there and break his confidence just like Jumbo did?

Still hard to believe anyone thought Perry was gonna win the job after being on campus less than a month.

I think Eason was more Schottenheimer's guy than Richt's.

And frankly I don't think Richt ever recruited Eason to come to UM, according to 24/7 it seems that Richt offered Fromm after He took the UM job.

So freshmen QB Fromm comes in and leads his team to NC title game and our Freshmen QB comes in and learns how to watch film.
This is just awesome great news.

That kinda happens when you play in a basic offense and don’t enroll early.

4 *Allison was favored to have the pos until he got hurt in front of Rosier...

Why didn't coaches Richt teach Malik how to read a defense and go through progressions?

You guys wanna know why Perry didn’t start last year?

Because he couldnt even handle a snap in fall scrimmages?

Then why couldn't Weldon win the job is the other question? He's an NFL QB's son who learned from Richt. Weldon should've been prepared to do it all from day one. He was also an EE.

He was going to learn to be a QB, but he got high.

He did...he just sucks at it lol. Richt can’t pause time and move his head for him.

So why do we have blind faith the Perry will not also suck at it? By his own admission he didn't know how to read a defense before the Richts taught him. None of us have seen him do it in a game, yet everyone believes he is our savior. I don't care who wins the job, I just want them to be better than Malik was this year. Maybe Malik will figure it out over the spring and summer. Maybe Perry has figured it out. Or maybe we will have sucky QB play in 2018 regardless of whose name is on the jersey.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Because Malik’s issue was progressions not reading coverages. He stuck on his first receiver and he didn’t move

The following would not surprise me in the slightest:

2018 - Rosier

2019 - Williams

Ive never understood the massive hype surrounding N'Kosi Perry. From what little I saw of him on film, he always reminded me of a taller Robert Marve.

Because Malik’s issue was progressions not reading coverages. He stuck on his first receiver and he didn’t move

Malik's main problem was accuracy. He made the right decisions for the most part, but His aiming points were waaaay off.

Look at the bowl game, Cager was open on that 2nd INT, but Malik under-threw em'. On the last INT to Homer, Homer had to reach back for the ball resulting in an INT.

Advantage Perry has over Malik now is arm strength, but what point is having a strong arm if you're making bad decisions.

Malik didn’t under throw him. Cager was held and the CB launched himself stride to stride with Cager and caught the ball. Watch the tape again, Cager beat him..

Regardless, Malik made the right decision on a play that resulted in an INT.

Hopefully Perry gets it right (or Williams) cause it would be a **** shame to waste the amount of talent we are bringing in at the skill positions.

Obviously some of these guys aren't fully developed yet but think of the sheer volume of talent we will be running out:

Richards
JT
Harley
Pope
Hightower

Lingard
Davis
Homer

Jordan
Mallory

Provided the QB isn't a complete disaster, we should be scoring 40+ nearly every game.

From ITU

“It’s hard to pick out one thing I learned the most, but I definitely learned more than I ever known about football this year,” Perry said. “Before I got here I really didn’t know how to read defenses and coach Mark Richt and coach Jon Richt did a great job at teaching me that, but I also learned a lot of new skills about ball security and working on fundamentals.”

In particular, Perry said, “The main thing that they did was they taught me how to watch film. I didn’t know how to watch film before I got here. They taught me what I should look at and it’s really about repetition. You really got to be in the film room. It’s not really about game day. It’s more about preparation.”

He didnt know how to read defenses or watch film properly....imagine throwing that kid out there? He probably would’ve been picked apart like Blackman. He’s also 187 now and plans to add another 10 before the season.

Which Blackman? We made him look pretty decent sad to say, but great post regardless. The scary part is that this may mean he is still another year away from picking up crucial aspects he should have been taught to SOME degree before UM....that said...just not sure we have any real option outside of a true freshman.

Which means Perry will probably transfer after the 2018 season, if # 12 wins the starting position, again.

Cager was HELD by his jersey which probably was somewhat to blame for # 12's pass. :Qft9gEw: hUh
