I would say:Great recruiting. Average coach. He gets you 9-3 or 8-4 each season
well, honestly, the season is not over yet so he can still reach last year‘s win total that’s why we’re “putting up with it“This level of ineptitude wouldn’t be tolerated at LSU or Penn State. Why are we ok with this?? Mario’s body of work is underwhelming to say the least.
Lol barking up the wrong treeMario's lover is mad at me....lol
Yea I heard a horrendous stat the other day. Since Mario took over at Miami, this program leads the nation in losses as a double-digit favorite. Mario’s teams play really well in big, prime time games against highly ranked opponents, rivals, etc., but if it’s a sleepy matchup against an unranked team or “inferior” opponent he’s one of the worst in CFB.Too bad the money behind the program don’t care about winning. We’re stuck with this Neanderthal. What is this, his 8th lose as a double digit favorite
You are being emotional. Are you smoking grass? Now we are paying out the rear end for the same results. Mario gets outcoached far too often. He always has. Why are you ok with that?
Good luck. These guys are convinced that we just went run-run-run-punt all day.You are being emotional.
Mario wasnt outcoached.
Jojo drops a pass, INT short field Td.
Lofton drops a pass for a TD.
Beck throws iNT in OT.
Refs screwed Miami sideways. That wasnt outcoached.
Calling a timeout when they are out of timeouts, and stressed at 4th and 9 was idiotic. Game after game our OL screws up with false starts. Calling the same stupid crap that defenses key on doesn't help. Yes, our players make mistakes. However, good coaching eliminates a lot of stupid mistakes. You are being emotional.

Haha, good luck man. These guys are certain that we lose games because we run the ball (for 159 yards, by the way). They just brush aside the drops and turnovers. They literally think that taking a knee with 25 seconds left was more of an issue than dropping a pass in the end zone. It’s like you guys don’t actually watch the games…
We lost two games so far. We made crazy mistakes in both those games. Our best wins came in games against better teams but we made less mistakes.
Sure we could have better play calling and beat teams by more points sometimes…
But our losing issue is mistakes and discipline. Talent includes discipline.
I like how you guys completely act like the reason we lost to Louisville was because of play calling… gtfoh…
We’re 2-15 in games we’re we have 2 or more turnovers.
When you see Mario kneel the ball with 25 seconds left it’s because he knows that we lose because of mistakes and turnovers. I cursed at him as well for that but it’s clear that they knew a turnover was a big risk and guess what it happened and we lost because of it. Our running game has been a let down and our qb can’t run. Beck isn’t great. Our offense just isn’t great.
Discipline falls on the HC i get it… but not always… these players need to step the f up and stop making stupid mistakes. You could tell in that game they have been getting hammered about them on the very first penalty when blay overreacted about his offsides call. I have been saying Malachi is going to get us in trouble because of how he is always taking it to the limit with blocks and after the play stuff. Our OL has the yipes.
If we limit the mistakes from here on out we don’t lose. I’m 100% sure of that.
Even the last int was a bad route. Malachi had his guy beat but turned his crossing route to the end zone while Beck was executing the throw. It’s the only reason his guy was able to get in front of him.Haha, good luck man. These guys are certain that we lose games because we run the ball (for 159 yards, by the way). They just brush aside the drops and turnovers. They literally think that taking a knee with 25 seconds left was more of an issue than dropping a pass in the end zone.
They wanted a look at the formation. Teams do it all the time.Calling a timeout when they are out of timeouts, and stressed at 4th and 9 was idiotic. Game after game our OL screws up with false starts. Calling the same stupid crap that defenses key on doesn't help. Yes, our players make mistakes. Busy weekend but I appreciate occupying some space in your head. But there will be no continued defending or slurping from me.
For what it is worth, I always preferred Lane Kiffin and have never been blind to Mario's shortcomings. But I did think that the talent level was finally at a place where we could judge him on his merits and after the start to the season, I thought we would progress as the season went along.
I was wrong.
And it is clear that no one does less with more than Mario.
The penalties are egregious, the lack of offensive imagination is embarrassing, and the decision-making from top to bottom is impossible to defend. I don't think Mario and the coaching staff were the only reason that Miami lost yesterday, but they were the main reason. And there is no excuse for continuing to play down to the competition year after year.
We find new and humiliating ways to lose every season and scoring 20 points against THAT defense is fireable in every sense of the word. The irony that Mario spent so much effort clowning Manny Diaz for leaving the cupboard bare and now Duke is in a better position to make the ACC Title Game is not lost on me.
I still wouldn't fire him, not just because of the buyout and support internally, but especially given that Miami would be, generously, the fourth or fifth-best job to open this offseason and I'd prefer a less competitive coaching market. I also would prefer to hang on to what, at least for now, looks like a promising recruiting class. But I am all for moving on from him for the right candidate.
Also, I am never one to constantly blame the refs, but PICKING UP the flag for defensive PI on Marion AND calling that holding on Mauigoa and then not calling it when Trader was abused in the end zone is ******* embarrassing and the ACC deserves all of the shame that they definitely don't feel.
No, we need a dual threat QB and an O cordinator that knows how to use the guys we get in. Period.we can't fire him this year due to the buyout and the fact we would be the #6 worst program to try to hire a new coach
next year we should be FIRST in line to get rid of him and bring in a proven head coach who runs a modern offense.
Toney scored on that exact route earlier in the season. Because he came back to Beck on his route then turned it up.Even the last int was a bad route. Malachi had his guy beat but turned his crossing route to the end zone while Beck was executing the throw. It’s the only reason his guy was able to get in front of him.
Good luck. These guys are convinced that we just went run-run-run-punt all day.
hire mullen as OC. give him full reign of the entire side of the ball including OL/run scheme. allow Mullen to hire who he wants on that side (including OL so goodbye dora the explorer). tell Mario he can just recruit. hes not the head coach anymore but a recruiting coordinator. Mullen is the HC of the O and Heatherman is the HC of the D.I've said this on numerous other threads, but it bears repeating: Mario is what he is, the issue is that our fanbase is too ignorant to realize that the odds of finding someone significantly better aren't good. Unless the wheels fall off, Mario is likely staying because he's good enough to maintain employment.
Frank Solich
Dan Mullen
Philip Fulmer
James Franklin(TBD)
Brian Kelly(TBD)
These are examples of good, but not elite coaches that were ran out by fanbases, and those programs suffered long term for doing so. Franklin and Kelly are TBD, because we don't know how it turns out, but judging from history, it is very, very possible that it ends poorly. Every school isn't going to hit on a Kirby Smart. Every school isn't going to find a Cignetti.
9-3/10-2 in the modern CFB landscape isn't terrible, it's just frustrating. That said, 6-6/7-5 is significantly worse and you don't want to be in that cycle for years on end.
