For those who didn't like that comparison, here's the stats after their first 2 years:

Yearby - 291 carries, 1,511 yards, 5.2 ypc, 7 TD's
Cooper - 296 carries, 1,523 yards, 5.1 ypc, 8 TD's

Looks like a pretty good comparison to me.

Yea he's definitely not an elite Miami back. Thank James Coley. Bc of him, we "stole" Yearby from FSU, and lost out on the two significantly better backs of that season.

You need to consider the suck aXX offensive line Yearby had to run behind.

Not bad at all behind Miami's horrible offensive line. Bad way to end the season for sure but I thought he ran hard especially in the 1st half

Good comparison. I liked and respected Cooper a lot. He wasn't the best RB to come through here, but he was pretty good. I hope Yearby gets faster, stronger, and even better next season.

Not even close... Coop was a home run threat when he touched the ball. Yd-by-yd is not.

And Cooper was playing behind what, the Hogs of Washington?

Yearby's issue is he isn't very fast. Not explosive. He's a solid back that wouldn't start on an elite Canes team.

Guys act like Cooper was a total bum. He was a good little player and so is Yearby. Neither are elite, but both can help you win football games. I think Joe bloated up too quickly though. He lost a little of what made him good.

Ironically we landed Cooper and missed out on Shady

yearby is a much better rb. Cooper just shuffled and danced around for no yardage. our OL sucked and they def slowed yearby up with they way they bulked him up. he will be better next year.

**** why all the hate for yearby?

he ran for a thousand yards this season on mainly stupid *** shotgun handoffs

Home run threat LOL No one was ever ankle tackled as easy as Cooper

Yearby is better IMO. Both guys are limited. Similar type of backs, Yearby has much better vision and runs a lot harder.
