Y'all watching

I was listening to Kevin Sumlin talk about his new Defensive Coordinator John Chavis last week on Sirius/XM 91 and he mentioned how Chavis has simplified the defense substantially where the players just react instead of overthinking complex schemes.

Last year I remember a beat writer talking about aTm's defense and how the difference in 2014 would be that players were not playing out of position because of lack of depth and the defense would be much better. Well the problem according to Sumlin was not depth or players playing out of position yet rather it was overthinking scheme.

Meanwhile in Coral Gables it's not the complex scheme.....

Why the **** would you bring a complex scheme to the University of Miami, where you have access to the best football talent in America? LOL

Everyone about beat fsu

This. GT almost beat FSU in the ACC Championship game which would've bounced them from the semi final game.

Almost beating FSU last year says nothing positive about Golden. It just shows that our losses last year have nothing to do with talent

Take winston and ramsey off that FSU team and they lose 4 games, man we should have beat them

Take Duke and DP off of our team last season.

Now what?

Well since duke didnt do sh¡t in big games for us not a big difference, them 2 showed up when their team needed it

Do you even pay attention to the s**t you porst sometimes?

You might be the most bi-polar porster here.

duek killed it vs cinci and unc though, LOL

don't give those duke johnson the cold hard facts.

they are fans of "leaders" who sulk on the sideline, **** poor body language, and are not helpful teammates at all.

even his mom who supposedly does good in the community, trashed Golden for no good reason,

Duke Johnson didn't do **** at the university of miami and that's a fact. and don't give me bull**** about how he never had a chance here. that guy had a chance to end FSU's win streak last season and instead he was standing on the sidelines with a ******* cramp. this whole program is a complete disgrace from top to bottom. was Duke a true cane? yes without a doubt and i hate to trash him but he wasn't a mcgahee. he wasn't a portis. he wasn't an edgerin james. you guys have been so brainwashed by mediocrity that you **** your pants whenever you see someone above average walk through the door

Dammit mane I love some Duke, but you might be right about this. TBH he always seemed to bich up when chit wasn't going right.. He did play hard, but he always seem to play hurt when chit got real and we needed him.

he was always on the sideline with that stupid look on his face crying....that isn't a leader and especially for young guys to see that from your star player is toxic.

when miami is better off without duke what will his fanboys say then?

How anybody can look at Canes teams during Goldens era and say the problem was Duke is willful stupidity.

Never said that our problems are all around but what big game against a big opponent did duke have? They guy has monster numbers against crap teams but when he went against quality opponenets he didnt do jack

Someone remind me of the last running back to "carry their team" in college football.

How did Melvin Gordon do in the B1G Championship game? Why didn't Nebraska win the Big 12 with Abdulah? UGA had Nick Chubb dominate, and Arkanas had 2 1,000 yard rushers last year.

The days of running backs being able to lead college teams is over.

Duke was awesome for us! If he had a quality QB who wasn't fresh out of high school last season, he would have had an even better season. We played so conservatively on O that Duke rarely had a chance against quality defenses, and he still made plays.

BTW ... I saw Sumlin this week on ESPN. He talked about going to a Rick Ross concert. Can yall imagine "what could have been" had we hired him away from Houston??

Assuming he would have been willing to leave Texas, yall can't tell me Miami wasn't a significantly higher profile program than A&M was when he took that job.

But we missed that boat ...

What are you talking about? They were their whole offense, and you forgot to mention that they had big games against quality opponents, while duke beat up cincy and UNC lmao

LMFAO @ the morans around here blaming Duke Johnson of all people for last seasons debacle.

Fajjots.

Duke Johnson is the only player I have seen get hurt in EVERY game he played in 2013, ultimately out for the season against FSU.

But he's a RB, like Todd Gurley, RB's breakdown often. You never want to have a RB the center of your team.

Wisconsin got beat 59-0 ... How did he "show up" in that game?

Or are you suggesting it might take more than being an outstanding running back to make plays against legit teams??

Our coaches didn't maximize Duke, IMO. He's the reason we won the VT game. He's also the reason we played so well against FSU in the first half. But he can only do so much ...
