We have some dumb fans. Storm isn’t gonna be near Blacksburg when they leave Thursday. And if u know how flights work, they’ll take off and head east and south because of the rotation of the earth.

If it’s a bumpy ride it won’t have anything to do with this storm as they’ll be no where near it during the flight

I made a dumb dumb by saying west rather than east above when talking about the path of the storm… but this is not correct, on any level. The flight path does account for the curvature of the earth but has nothing to do with the rotation of the earth.

Moreover, the outer bands of the hurricane will very likely create turbulence for a flight from Blacksburg to Miami tomorrow.

The TAF for MIA is calling for 30-40kt gusts with thunderstorms tomorrow. That makes a bumpy flight.

That said, the weather will almost certainly not close MIA or otherwise prevent the turkeys from traveling to Miami tomorrow.

Notice the storm path. It’s taking that path to hit Tallahassee using the earths rotation. It’s going to where Tallahassee will be in a few days. Not where it is right now.

Yes, too many people have moved here man! The new arrivals are the biggest bunch of panicky pussies in the world! No balls, or discernment. They have no ability to mentally withstand the media hype machine. I blame women for this overly "better safe than sorry" epoch. Women buy into and they bring in the men. And it's going to be devastating to the 50 miles where is makes landfall. But to the other 7/8ths of the state it's going to be a rainstorm!
