Xavier Restrepo reuniting with Cam Ward at the Titans; Restrepo signing with the Titans

Going to be a tough roster for him to make. Basically 5 locks at WR already
only 4. ridley, lockett, ****, ayomanor. van jefferson is on a very cheap 1 year deal and could easily be cut if they want to go younger. burks is basically a non-factor and pretty much everyone just wants to cut the dead weight with him. we'll keep 6 or maybe 7. restrepo will need to earn it, but he'll definitely get his shot.

...and you still have the practice squad option for a year to be around the team and prove yourself

Cam not letting them cut X w/out exhausting all measures

U go to war these two got you flank no worries
Bless these guys, always have each other’s backs. And Cam is 100% correct, running routes and catching the ball are more important than your 40 time. I watched a WR from UGA get drafted in the late rounds. They all gushed over his 40 time and speed, while openly admitting his biggest problem was catching the ball. Saying maybe the could get someone to work with him on that. I’d rather have a sure eight yards, then have a drop on a sure 28 yards. In football speed kills, especially if you can’t consistently catch the f**king ball. Just sayin’🙌🏽#CANESNATINLIFER

To all the posters who say making the roster will be tough..you can say that to any kid drafted past the 3rd round imo. It’s only 52 spots regardless of where you land after the first 90 picks. Your in practice squad or cut territory. Everyone has to earn their spot even if he had been drafted in the 5th round. If anyone can do it, X can.

whats crazy is he doesnt run hes drafted.

Sometimes u just gotta really shut these guys down.

I rather them not have a time on me...no way he was running sub 4.6 prior..been working with bommarito since high school n di dthat...i wouldve just ran short shuttle an go with that.

Not worried about Restrepo at all.

Guys like him will always be successful at everything they do.

Even if he's not a star NFL guy, he'll bank NFL checks for 10 years, retire with a pension and get into a different side of football.

I saw the dolphins in the end zone when in high school. I think the ticket was $1.

not sure they are worth $1 anymore. GM Grier is a joke who can’t be fired. HC Mikey is a one or two trick pony who DCs quickly figured out.

And today the fins drafted a **** gator. I’m trying to move on to a new team. Maybe TN

That reminds me when I was young the yucks (bucs) were giving away free tickets to games our happy meals 😆😄 people still didn't show 🤣🤣🤣

Said he had run a 4.56 earlier

X said he ran the 40 despite having a pulled hamstring. Said two weeks before he ran a 4.56. Pulling for him. The NFL needs some high character guys.
yeah hes gonna have to run it for them and not with no one around.

either way, hes a good kid so I hope he makes it.

I know I'm bias, but I've been watching this happen to X since high school. Being underestimated and/or judged due to his appearance and/or physical traits is literally his life story. That's what fuels him. This is just another chapter in that story.

We can sit here and talk about forty times and measurables until we're blue in the face...
But when it comes to PLAYING THE GAME OF FOOTBALL, there are few better than X.
And it's kinda wild that a player can be a First Team All American, a Biletnikoff finalist and break every receiving record at a program filled with Hall Of Famers...and still not get drafted. (while DE's who have registered 4 sacks in their career go 1st round)

That's the current climate of football that I'm not a fan of.

And it's not like this approach has never failed. We see it fail all the time. That's how we have guys like Julian Edelman and Adam Thielen. Yet we still continue to use this formula.

In some ways this is a blessing in disguise for both X and Cam.

X gets someone who has power in the organization to push and lobby on his behalf.

Cam gets a trusted ally who understands his timing, approach, and strengths.

IMO this is better than X getting drafted to the Jets or Browns!

Both of these guys are winners and football players.

He's been a mid-4.5 guy since forever. I believe that where he's at.

Bech is 6'1" 214lbs and ran a 4.55 40.

1745899723383.png

Andrew Armstrong is 6'3" 204lbs and ran a 4.50 40.

1745899181983.png

Restrepo is 5'9" 209lbs.

Gauntlet: Restrepo 19.11, Armstrong 18.56, Bech 17.63
Circus: Restrepo 17.12, Bech 17.07, Armstrong 17.01
Dagger: Armstrong 17.57, Bech 17.01, Restrepo 16.74
Go: Armstrong 20.51, Bech 20.19, Restrepo 19.46
Over Shoulder: Restrepo 16.79, Armstrong 16.57, Bech 16.07
Slot Sail: Bech 17.93, Restrepo 17.68, Armstrong 17.46

Now I'm not saying these numbers are everything, but clearly on the deeper routes it's where The other two clearly get to a higher gear. And I'm sure that would be evident in Restrepos 40 time. But there is no way Restrepo is actually a >4.8 40 guys. Armstrong is a 4.50 guy, and Bech is a 4.55 guy. Neither are very athletic, so I'm not even saying Restrepo is actually a good athlete. Those guys have HEIGHT which Restrepo doesn't have. But No way Restrepo is worse than a 4.65 guy, period.

And if he's telling truth about running 4.53-4.58 laser 40, this is how it changes his RAS

If His RAS is 7.86-8.38, He is absolutely drafted.
