WR's

I see you still have irrational hate for Berrios, disliking every post that props him up.

People forget that Berrios dealt with a lot of injuries early in his career. Berrios never dropped a punt while Pope managed to do it on his first ever attempt.

Braxton showed elite toughness, hands, and football IQ, none of which Pope has yet to display.

I hope Pope blossoms into something even better, but so far he has not shown any of the traits that made Braxton or a healthy Ahmmon stand out.
Quit making excuses , you don’t make them for pope. Bottom line he didn’t do anything until it was a senior. From a freshman through junior year berrios didn’t do anything AND was close to transferring elsewhere Before his senior year after Miami but he don’t get the same type of criticism pope gets for some reason... I like berrios and have nothing against but people be acting like he was stud every year at Miami are insane imo

Pope didn't "drop" a punt. He fielded the punt cleanly, took seven steps and then fumbled. Facts matter.

Prior to last season, Deejay was a fat fumbler, and prior to this season Nesta was too small and weak. It's the same crap 24/7/365.

There is not one excuse made in my comment. You merely fail to see the difference between Pope and Berrios. Your comparison is not apples to apples.

You’re comparing Pope to Berrios as if Berrios faced the same struggles early in his career that Pope is facing (muffing punts, dropping easy catches, showing low awareness) . He didn’t.

You’re basing your expectation of Pope improving on Berrios’s progression, when the fact is they did not face the same struggles.

I hope Pope improves, as I think everyone who has been critical of him does, but your need to criticize Berrios in an effort to defend Pope is as illogical as your Rumph fandom.

We don't need a true #1, is all about the TEs and RBs.
Every game it'll be a different WR having a surprise performance. Don't think one will separate himself from the others.

Berrios use to get on my nerves. He was always jumping and diving and trying to do stupid stuff and would drop easy passes. He wasn’t as good as he thought he was but he had a good senior year. He was better than pope as a junior too. Pope is horrible. He’s clumsy, he trips goes out of bounds runs into blockers fumbles breaks routes. He’s just not good

I'm as big a Berrios fan as you'll find but this is revisionist history. Everyone remembers his senior year and conveniently forgets that he was a **** near invisible his junior year.

1 catch 5 yards against FAMU
1 catch 13 yards App St
1 catch 22 yards GT
1 catch 6 yards FSU
2 catches 25 yards and a TD VT
1 catch 5 yards Pitt
1 catch 38 yards Duke
4 catches 64 yards and a TD WVU

Now tell me again how you knew Brax was a playmaker in 2016...and yet Pope, who in his sophomore year was just as productive as Brax in his junior year is a bust. Bottom line, the facts simply don't support your argument.
not his fault. he was grossly misused his first three years

WR's are getting some much deserved sh*t for the drops

but they also had some cluthc plays

harley alone had the 4th down completion on our opening drive to keep the the drive going and then on the beginning of our second drive when we were on our own 30 he had a VERY tough 3rd and 4th catch that kept that drive alive

either one of those not being completed would have really thrown off the momentum and caused turnover on downs/punt

Sadly, it is evident none of the starting 3 are anything to wait on.

Pope is just too small and then doesn't make up for it with wiggle or straight ahead speed
Harley is fast but has suspect hands and average athleticism.
Wiggins seems to have a hard time getting open.

Brevin and Mallory need to be on the field at the same time more often
None of these guys attack the ball in the air at it's highest point. too much waiting for the ball to hit their bosom. It gets quatted away 95% of the time. Harley had balls in his hand but hold it out like a hot potato instead of tucking in his chest.

Its time for Smith, Redding, X, and Payton.

Problem with that is they won't get away with those drops with the comp getting harder. Drops and mistakes against Clemson will get us beat. We have a chance if all clicking in that game.

yeah i'm not saying it's okay that they dropped the ones they did, i'm just acknowledging harley played a huge vital role in our first two TD drives.

no praise for him on that, just all the hate in the world for the drops

Everybody always talks about how fast Harley but it never looks like he gets any separation from the DB’s.
I noticed this too. His legs move fast but he doesn’t seem to be going anywhere almost like a hamster on a wheel. Reminds me a little of Graig Cooper.

It’s still a F@@kin’ turnover. Facts matter

Right now Pope and Harley are nice #4-7 type options that are thrust into #1-3 minutes. They’re both good for a nice play here and there but also have consistently been liabilities in each game and we can’t have that vs a Clemson or in a close game.
