I mean that maybe true for this year, but also look at what most top transfered did end up doing at WR. They were all very good lol, and look what we are missing on offense - TE and explosion at WR. And it sounds like we are going to completely ignore TE for some reason. And our Run game is going to be the exact same except with a more unproven OLine without Cici, Anez, and even Brockermeyer... We have had zero exposivity out of our run game for like 90% of the season, and it signficantly limited this offense. Going for a legit starting caliber outside WR imo is critcal. This guy seems much riskier if it's ALL going to be thrown on him. I mean staff thought Jojo was gunna be the guy, and that was a fail.

Like even Jayce Brown is a much more proven deep threat. I don't mind this guy as the take, but there is definitely more of a middle ground - especially someone like Ian Strong who is a proven top outside WR AND Strong is a Senior which imo is important for the leadership in that room....
But here we are still 2 games from the Natty & u still dropping these long posts like you no more than the coaches or like they don’t know how to evaluate

VERO also has a qb we probably are n for next class and seem to be a real program to recruit year in and year out.

Not really. So because we are in the semi finals it means the offense doesn't lack any deep threats wasn't terrible at running 90% of the season, or it means next yrs offense and wr group doesn't need strong leadership presence and a legit outside wr... As well as a major TE upgrade? Lmao guess winning means your perfect. Also this portal is about next yrs team. Not this yr. You have to project next yrs roster, which the WR group is going to entirely be youth.

The good sign is South Carolina fans seem to really like this dude and wish they kept him. Hey if he works out that's great. But it's obviously riskier than Strong or Duff.

This dude at WR I like far more than whatever the **** the game plan appears to be at TE. I just think not getting a more proven dude is risky for next season, in a year we really shouldn't expect much to change in the run game since the RBs are all back and OLine is losing multi year starters...

Apparently he was a captain too. More positives.
That would be very good. This WR room is going to be extremely young. 4 incoming Freshman WRs which we expect at least 1 to earn PT, and then the 3 from this season becoming sophomores all expected to play bigger roles (well same in case of Toney), and Trader possibly returning and being a known not excellent practice guy... We need a leader in the room, which has been why I've wanted more of a Senior type deep threat like Strong. But if this dude is a really high quality character guy that'd make it an even better add as a deep threat.

After our run we will be losing a couple of WRs It’s good we are addressing the issue now

Advanced Stats Deep Dive.
TL;DR: Definitely just an intermediate and deep threat. Has great intermediate and deep stats, but not proven at high volumes, so who knows how sustainable that performance is. I think this is a fine take. But his leadership skills and run blocking effort will be critical if he is the main guy being brought in to start outside. We will have a VERY young WR core next year. Definitely going to need another depth guy just for numbers sake. But I think this guy would be coming in to fill Marrions role except a better deep threat.

Top 10 Best WRs on Deep passes in P4 by Y/RR with at least another year elligibility and 10 targets: Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, Parker Livingstone (In portal from Texas), Micahi Danzy, Terrell Anderson (In Portal from NCST), Teddy Hoffman, Charlie Becker, Braylon Staley, Joseph Williams, Amare Thomas.... Jacobs ranks 19th.... Ian Strong is 18th. Jayce Brown is 16th, Isiah Canion is 22nd, Omarion Miller is 28th.... and Malachi Toney is 29th.

Top 10 best WRs on Intermediate passes in P4 by Y/RR with at least another year elligibliity and 14 targets: Carlos Hernandez, Bryant Wesco, Mario Craver, Junior Sherrill, Mike Mathews, Jeremiah McClellan, Nyck Harbor, KJ Duff, Lawayne McCoy, Tre Spivey... Jacobs ranks 12th... Jayce Brown is 21st, Jeremiah Smith is 26th, Terrell Anderson is 29th....

HOWEVER it's important to note that Jacobs did this not under a significant amount of targets. And these are the type of stastics that its much harder to keep high with more targets. If we did like Min 10 targets for Deep and 25 Intermediate, the names that are in the top 20 of both are:
Jeremiah Smith (Ohio St), Ian Strong (Rutgers), Amare Thomas (Houston), and Braylon Staley (UTenn) ... And obviously Strong is the only one of them in the portal...
