WR Vandrevius Jacobs

***** been quite man. Idk if I believe this silence

I mean even over the past few cycles, we haven’t paid up for guys like Singleton, Concepcion, Stewart etc. A few of those guys visited because I’m sure we inquired and they were interested but at the end of the day those guys are out for one thing and I’ve said it before, I don’t think we believe in going over the top for WRs 🤷🏾‍♂️.

Especially now that we will have to pay Malachi probably more than any WR in America is making besides JS, kids like Jacobs are exactly in our wheelhouse IMO.
Also, the fact that we have made it this far and didn’t spend crazy on Daniels, Marion, and Johnson probably solidifies our beliefs that we don’t need to break the bank for those types but that’s a different conversation.

I know it’s still very early, and wouldn’t surprise me one bit of some of these bigger ticket guys end up visiting, but my opinion still remains. I’m not complaining, just stating what I see.

Yep, they have a blue print. They aren’t looking for splash names or stars. They are evaluating looking at fit and making sure whatever they pay it’s worth it. Obviously if a star is interested and really wants to be here for the right reason they’ll adjust. So far, it’s probably the right way to go about it. Auburn basically wasted a ton of money on Coleman and Singleton to have a trash qb and trash trenches.

I mean that maybe true for this year, but also look at what most top transfered did end up doing at WR. They were all very good lol, and look what we are missing on offense - TE and explosion at WR. And it sounds like we are going to completely ignore TE for some reason. And our Run game is going to be the exact same except with a more unproven OLine without Cici, Anez, and even Brockermeyer... We have had zero exposivity out of our run game for like 90% of the season, and it signficantly limited this offense. Going for a legit starting caliber outside WR imo is critcal. This guy seems much riskier if it's ALL going to be thrown on him. I mean staff thought Jojo was gunna be the guy, and that was a fail.

Like even Jayce Brown is a much more proven deep threat. I don't mind this guy as the take, but there is definitely more of a middle ground - especially someone like Ian Strong who is a proven top outside WR AND Strong is a Senior which imo is important for the leadership in that room....

What does “explosivity” in the run game look like to you? We just ran over two of the top 5 defenses in CFB in consecutive games.

You are truly a moron with no reading comprehension.

Yes one great rushing performance against A&M and a good one against Ohio st, outweighs an entire season of evidence regarding our Run game and losing 3 starting Olineman - can't possibly have any negative effect. Literally before Pringle started getting in the game our Run game was horrific. And now in the playoffs Fletcher is playing the best he ever has....

If you think our Run game is explosive you're ******* retarded. If you think our Pass game is explosive you're retarded....

It ain’t that serious snowflake.

Also, you have zero clue what you’re talking about but you aren’t worth the effort

I don’t think you’re retarded and @Calinative needs to apologize and start treating others nicer, but the board is familiar with you and you deserve a lot of **** from others.

And our run game has been **** for a while. Other than NCST and Pringle vs Pitt, we haven’t ran the ball well. We’re not even in the top 75 of rushing offense.

A few games he blew up, a few games he wasn't even targeted. But he performed well against better defenses like Clemson and Mizzou.

H-Town how much weight do you put on NOT having a QB named when the aforementioned named players visited had on their commitments?

Obviously, until it is disclosed, we're in the same position this year and was in the same with Cam as well...

Beside Malachi and CJ our WR Corp wasn't that & CJ was injured most of the year. Next year we can't just come back with just Malachi as our only good WR teams are you plan their defense around him. We need to get a different maker in the portal if not we might as well develop our rookies in that spot
