I’d love to be wrong. Getting a guy from that system would be huge. Did a really good job with Aiyuk this season too. I try to be objective with alumni in good situations and not put on the orange and green glasses.

Connections to Dawson - Lonnie Galloway (UNC) - connection from West Virginia 2011-2014, Desmond Lindsey (Southern Miss) - connection from USM 2016 and 2017

3 of the 4 are proven recruiters. Galloway and Lindsey are both recruiters and good coaches. Coley is TBD on his coaching chops at WR. Hankerson is a good coach and would likely recruit very well.

Galloway could give us a big boost with the recruitment of Jeremiah Smith.

I feel like Hankerson would be an extremely difficult pull. He’d be a tremendous get but I wouldn’t leave SF for any college gig.

Didn’t say there’d be no interest. But I’ve interviewed for other jobs and not taken it. Or used it to leverage a better situation with my current job.

It doesn’t hurt to listen, but it would probably take big money and a title change to get him. SF is one of the best orgs to be in for upward mobility in the NFL. Currently we are an offensive graveyard for coaches.

Dawson may as well. Coached WR after Galloway went to Wake Forest when Geno Smith was there which is Jeremiah's cousin. I think Galloway may have been his primary recruiter though

Coley is a great recruiter and is a local so he would be a big asset at UM.
However, not sure if he would mesh well with the new OC, especially since he's been\
an OC in the past. Last thing we need is for coaches to undermine the new OC.
Look at Auburn when Turbeville hired Tony Franklin back in the day as an example.

As a life-long 49ers fan that went to his first game in San Fran this year... I could 100% understand wanting to leave there and come back home even at a lower level. Likely with a bump to Passing Game Coordinator. One of the few areas, in comparison to Miami, that I could say your pay check doesn't go as far.

I think Galloway is a long shot. But I think we also may have saved a few buck with the OC and DC hire, so we'll see. Galloway is getting paid pretty good as a WR coach at UNC.

I know he’s a NC guy, but I disagree. Mack won’t be there much longer and Longo just left. It wouldn’t surprise me if more of their guys were up for grabs this year and next. He also overlapped with Dawson at WVU.

Coley would rival Mario for the top recruiter, I would definitely take him even if his coaching isn't top notch. Doesn't matter if you have the best WR coach in the world, if the room is bare. We need an infusion of talent.

Not saying this would be good at all but Reggie Wayne would be interesting since he's probably getting let go by the new Colts staff. He was their WR coach this year.

I think we need a WR coach that could challenge Hartline, and having someone with NFL experience could be helpful. Coley could coach RBs.
