I dont know where else to put it, but I listened to the 560 broadcast of the game. Had a good time.

Its been a lot better than it has in recent years. Lot less commercials and broadcast snafus.

JoeZ had a great quip that was pretty **** funny.

"Well fans, its getting late in the third quarter. Shadows are setting on the field, which either means the sun is setting or that Florida lineman (the 430lb one), has stepped on the field."

🤣🤣🤣

Even DBJ had a funny one liner.

JoeZ: "Well fans, as you probably know, FSU lost to GT this Saturday."

DBJ: "Hate to see it Joe."

JoeZ: "They are also playing monday against BC."

DBJ: "Really would hate to see that too."

Wish they brought more of that banter. Its okay to be Cane homers, but have a little more personality guys. Its good.

They are both actually very nice and personable guys, but I agree they dont translate that in the booth.

Chicago Canes fan here... I usually listen to the Cubbies and the Bears on the radio when I am out and about and not in front of a TV. This sentence brightened my morning and is promising to read.

Money is getting tight... I've dropped cable years ago and now streaming is frankly just as bad... plus I swear ESPN/ACCN gives us the worst announcers, they slurp on the $EC constantly while getting our players names wrong on play by play. Every game before us goes past our games' start time and they flip us to another channel... the hate is real (don't get me wrong, I love that it's back... ) but the morons they have screaming it are getting old to listen to really fast.

Thought I would go the route of radio for this season. I can always see the highlights and condensed game footage later after the game on YouTube.... and the full game a few days later when they upload it.

How many Canes fans here listen to the game on the radio and how do you personally rate it over other radio shows?

Just FYI you can stream games for free on sites like streameast. No reason to pay…

But to your point, the TV broadcast is usually infuriating to listen to. DBJ can be too much of a homer, but that’s better than listening to obviously biased TV guys.

I get stuck sometimes driving from Tampa to PB County during a game.
Last year I couldnt pick up WQAM until I was almost at the Martin-PB County line.
Didn’t there used to be an FM station that carried Canes games? How is their no radio for Canes Games anywhere in south central Florida? Or is there, help a brother out.

I think DBJ is insufferably annoying but the rest of the crew I think does a pretty good job for the most part pregame during the game and post game. Especially for a local team crew.

Just be careful with the **** pop ups if you’ve got an 80 inch TV

Neighbors out walking the dogs like wow that’s one high res ******** on that chick

Thanks, I’ll try that.
I watch the games when I’m driving on my phone via game updates, but it would be easier and safer to listen to play by play on radio. 👍
I use audacy to tune into wqam postgames after victories to hear interviews and highlights. The only reason I don’t mute the tv broadcast and use the radio during the game proper is the lag is often around 30-plus seconds for me. But otherwise it’s solid once you get past the initial ads.

Cool. Years ago before they’re was a significant lag and I lived in SFLA, I’d mute the TV and have the radio on, so I didn’t have to listen to douchbags like Musburger etc.

Old Man Good Job GIF

There's something straight Old School Cool about this ... Brings back memories as a kid listening to games on a transistor radio under the bed covers at night. Any of y'all owned one of these classics?

@Tei Tenga
I'm too conditioned to watching games on TV or in person, but if you go the radio route maybe you could check in at mid-season and let us know how it's going?

You want me to tell you what they’re going to say before and after every game?

QAM is beyond terrible.

No, I like to hear it from the actual players and coaches mouths

I liked to hear what Cam Ward would have to say directly after the game or what Mirabal would have to say directly after the game

I don’t listen to WQAM for analysis of the game
