Foreal. I’ve learned to not even engage with it any more.

I saw someone complain about AdamCanes saying “soon” and in less than 24 hours they said “soon is over” ….

There is no winning with this fanbase sometimes. Maybe it’s all of them and it’s just people…

There are about a half-dozen posters (maybe more) who seem to have developed an intentional or unintentional schtick, whereby they choose to start reminding us (almost immediately) that impending good news has not, in fact, happened yet.

It's exhausting.

I could name names, but it's pretty easy to spot. And repetitive.

We have a better understanding of black holes than we do these 17 year old recruiting decisions. And All info is old info unfortunately.

Some people want 100% accurate and up to date to the second info. This is recruiting and They will never get it. Instead of acknowledging the parameters and taking posts/nuggets/info for what they are, they complain.

It will never change

It never ceases to amaze me that people have such a hard time grasping the fact that recruiting info is fluid and can change on a minute to minute basis in some cases. People just can't fathom that a teenager could change their minds after telling a school something when there's more money being thrown around these days than at Tootsie's.

I don’t understand when people complain about individuals that have these type of posts or threads.

It’s honestly found money. If they are right, congrats, you gave some heads up of good news before others. If they’re wrong, they get skinned Alive by posters and it honestly has no impact on anything.

It doesn’t take long to realize the posters that have good info. And this is recruiting. Kids and info is going to change abruptly for no reason. There’s going to be misses, a lot of em. Just go along with the wave and let it play it.
There are individuals here (OP IS NOT ONE OF THEM) who really get their rocks off by pretending to have information that most people don’t. They’ll often make very vague posts indicating that they know some kind of important secret news but they don’t know anything and just want attention. Like you said, it’s easy to figure out who they are after a while and just ignore everything they say.

Disappointing to hear WR probably won’t be a strength of the class given the talent available and our need at that position. We haven’t had much luck with big time portal receivers, hopefully that changes after another strong season

And we're just ignoring Brandon Bennett?

Or did he ignore us?

That's the local puzzler to me this year…Why no interest in Bennett?

My fragile little ego LMFAO. Ok buddy.. Just put me on ignore so my post doesn't interrupt you pulling on your ****. Just sayin..
It is an absolute CIS Law that all good posts from those providing legit information, and with a history of similar prior quality intel - will always yield at least ONE response from someone that will be taken by the sharer as mildly to moderately irritating.

We are literally incapable of not doing that.
You share, someone is as immediately compelled to needle you as a child will be compelled to snatch cookies from the jar when mom ain't looking.

As of now I think we will have an above expectation class at every position but WR and LB. With the demand of 5 star WRs I would portal personally but the 15 mil bump kicking in probably guarantees us one big 5 star WR a year moving forward. This is JMO. I'm connected to players, agents and other coaching staffs. This isn't a reflection in the building as a disclaimer @cway313 said it best awhile back I am not a hurricane insider. I get my info from players directly and every once in awhile they change their mind lmao and I get some **** on a message board...
Keep bringing the info bro. Much appreciated

someone mentioned that UM is basically doing a “moneyball” analysis and putting NIL to the positions the metrics say are most valuable. It is odd though that it puts so little value in WRs and LBs. Obviously everything can’t be equally important or it makes the exercise irrelevant, but I look at Clemsons championships in the 2010s- they were built on QB, WR, LBs. Decent OL and secondary but didn’t seem like top priorities. I think Cristobal is trying to build a SEC type team, but nearly all the good ones feature elite receivers. Bummer if we miss on 5 star WR talent again.

Missing DL for Clemson. From 2015-2020 they were absolutely stacked at that position.

True. QB, DL, WR, LB. I don’t know what the metrics say but in today’s game I think WR needs to be way higher on the list. Miami also was built with legendary WRs. Last player we had even close to that level was AR82.

I think we are TRYING to bring in those elite WRs. WRs are so unpredictable though. I feel like we make every effort to pay for a WR (look at JS last year) and we miss out.

Now truth be told, I think the other part of that is timing of when we have a QB to sell. That hasn’t been the case in forever. The fact that we are at least in the running for WRs speaks to the trust level we are establishing when it comes to bringing in good QBs.

I’m just waiting for the dam to bust open when it comes to WR recruiting.

I remember back in early April he posted something a little more concrete in the Bat Signal thread: “Between April 16-25 we might break the internet... a little legwork left but 😎”.

I got excited by the possibility.

Spoiler: the internet did not break because nothing happened. I’m guessing maybe he was teasing the Cantwell commit that then got pushed back, but even so, it was a vague post that got people (read: me) excited, and then nada. And I know there was a similar instance beforehand. So it’s hard for me not to view these kinds of especially vague posts a bit more… let’s just say skeptically. Does get people, talking, though.

Agree, people won't like it, but that's my experience. Vague stuff, hype man ****, and then maybe claim something in the future. ****, give a time line or something at least. Seen this game run before, but whatever. Its all good, just found the post funny and now on whatever page, days later, and guess what's easy. Kid verbals, yup, that's who I was talking about.

With all due respect, I usually agree with you on a lot of stuff. But you’re off on this one.

OP has brought legit info concerning recruiting on many occasions, and been spot on every time. Only other dude on the board that has ever been as legit as him is Cribby.

Respect for your posts, I'll take you at your word, I just don't remember seeing the aha moment when he was Cribby who made his name on board and PM.
