Wow

Too bad CMR doesn’t hold himself accountable with this atrocious Offense.

His offense has about as much imagination as a rock collection. The best thing Richt can do for this team is hire a pro spread set oc that can increase pace, route tree and more formations.

Guys running WIDE OPEN all over the field yesterday. I was there & could not believe my eyes. When Richt gets his QB everything will be different.

This Offense is still too predictable. We will continue to struggle on Offense until this is fixed.

Rosier was admittedly complacent in his post game interview and mentioned that he was out there just to be out there. Hilarious that some don't think a message needed to be sent to Rosier. I think it's a bit disturbing that a QB whom hasn't been anywhere near perfect this year (look at his completion percentage) and has relied on our defense heavily to carry this team is getting complacent when we had the opportunity for a perfect season and are in the thick of the playoff hunt.

that's the ultimate indictment of Rosier. You have a playoff birth/seeding at stake as the #2 team in the country and you have no sense of urgency?

Heavens to betsy...

Pete as a member of the press can you ask him in a polite way why he refuses to throw to the open spot in the middle of the field on deep balls? I find it hard to believe that our coaches are NOT coaching that up but the fact that he continues to choose to throw over shoulder when there’s a clear an easy throw to the middle makes me wonder....

The spread option is the new fad that everyone wants to jump on board with.

The more traditional stuff still works too - just ask the NFL.

Watch Baker Mayfield. He runs this same style of offense and he’s prolific in it. He’s a plus athlete but he’s not amazing at any one thing. I’m telling you right now he will not be a top flight qb in the league.

Rosier at his best VS Kaaya at his best isn't even a competition... Rosier smokes him

Do you guys not remember that Kaaya was good for at least 2 sacks a game where he trips over his own feet when a defender gets 2 yds away from him

I'm ****ed off at Malik's inconsistency too, but Kaaya folded at crunch time almost 100% of the time

I’ve been skeptical of Malik but the guy has won games for the Canes. Really ashocking decision by Richt. Job open

Thought it would happen but earlier I say ride em rest of the year and let em battle it out in the Spring. Timing was terrible for that decision
Sent a negative message of desperation... to everyone... unfair to Malik and unfair to Evan

I typically agree with you but not on this.... Malik was missing everything from open receivers to bubble screens. Even his completions looked way harder than they should have and constantly put his receivers in dangerous predicaments. We needed to try something else, wish it was done earlier in the game. Malik was in a terrible funk and was throwing the game away. He was lucky that he did not have at least 2 ints. They dared us to pass and we simply could not.

Personally, I was wondering what happened to the wildcat package with DJ? It might have helped to get us a spark in the run game. Also felt we rushed Evan in too fast, might have been good to give him a couple of easy plays to start and get warmed up to the pace of the game. I love Malik and all that he has done for us this year, BUT I hope he either improves his passing and consistency next season or someone beats him out for the job. He and this team really exceeded everyone's expectation for this season. Lack of quality depth, key injuries, and no bye week really caught up to us.

This team has so much heart that makes it impossible to count them out against anybody. Even last week, if Bandy made the pick 6 instead of tipping it for the Pitt first down that led to their final TD, we might have stolen the game late. If nothing else, this team has proved that they can play with anyone, will not give up and fight until the end against anybody and everybody.

Pops, agreed it was totally unfair to Evan. Do you think this any negative impact on the team this week?

Excellent points! Malik has won Miami more games than he’s lost. That can’t be said about Darnold, who everyone considers a better quarterback. Ridin’ With Rosier.

11-1!

Tell him to watch film of Kosar throwing that deep middle route to Melvin Bratton.

Wow, I thought you were a big nerdy *** ****** with zero life experience, but even this shocks me. Way to play love-games with a teenager, paid pundit. Hand so far up your ***, your jaw doesn’t even rattle anymore.

He went 3/13 in the 3rd quarter. That’s all that’s needed to be said....

A couple weeks ago Richt mentioned how he wished Rosier could throw a deep ball like Jim Kelly. We all see that it's a problem in his game, and it is severely limiting this O. Throwing a deep ball just requires timing and touch, not a cannon. He throws the deep ball in a way that the throw has to be perfect to be completed, and it's not working.

It's not just Rosier - I think many on defense are guilty of that as well. Thomas wsa getting his **** pushed in by lesser opponents throughout the game. It would have been nice to see the leaders of the team get in players faces on the sidelines or even during the game - saw none of that which was a bit concerning. Don't see that fire with this team when things aren't going right.

Rosier was awful. He was the only guy who was honest in his self-assessment after the game, as most of the team didn't show up for the game. We lost because Rosier was horrific and because the majority of the team got outworked by Pitt in a major way.

Pitt was playing at a level 10, and we played at a level 5. I point to Chad Thomas getting bent backward and pushed 4 yards down the field on 3rd and 2 by a 200 pound RB. I knew we were in trouble as soon as I saw that play. We got worked in the trenches all day because we didn't match Pitt's intensity.

Pulling Malik was the ultimate act of frustration by Rick. He was so fed up with Malik that he basically gave the game to Pitt at that point because Evan stood no chance. He's not that guy. He's no Don Strock. Rick hated Malik so much on Saturday that he basically conceded while the game was still on the line.

All of this

Pitts QB dragged multiple Miami defenders for positive yards. Shaq looked like a jockey going for a ride on one play

Malik was terrible but you're dead on about Chad Thomas and the defense. It didn't hit me until later in the game but the lack of TFLs early should've been a warning sign. All year we saw ball carriers being stopped in their tracks and against Pitt defenders were being dragged for extra yards and piles were being pushed.
