Wow

Benching Rosier for one series was useless. Sheriffs has little-to-no skill and likely will not be on the roster next year. Burning Perry’s redshirt would have been even dumber. DJ Dallas in the wildcat would have been better, although likely ineffective. The OL was awful. Worse than UNC.

Richt needed to adjust for Rosier’s off game, and failed.

Diaz came up with nothing to confuse a true freshman QB.

One of the dumbest coaching moves I've seen in over 35 years of watching football....and we've been privy to some doozies.

That was a Shannon/Coker/Golden move on steroids. Absolute incompetence in that spot.

We were going to lose regardless...but the message it sent was horrible especially given the fact you have nothing behind Rosier right now that's ready to play.

Pretty obvious decision to go to Perry next year. Team have figured out how to stop this offense.

Sell out the run and force Malik to throw deep.

please please who is the OC? Coach Richt is 100% accountable to the showing of the offense. No screens to Homer, no rollouts until the end of the game, no reverses at all. COACH RICHT OWNS THIS LOSS

there was a screen to homer, and they blew it up and almost took it for 6

you make sure you show up in hurricane visions thread later on this week to eat your crow

you're gonna see WIDE open receivers all over the field. Richt isn't the qb brother

I've been hard on Richt as a playcaller in the past but I'm with you. Rosier had guys open all over the place. Unfortunately, Shirreffs is unquestionably worse. How was there even a QB competition with Shirreffs?

It's simple. Rosier wasn't going to get it done. It was either take the risk as bad as it was or accept the loss and keep Rosier in. It's not that hard to understand.

he's guiding his passes instead of letting it rip... not sure what he was aiming at today smh

looked like he was playing not to lose. He's always had a slow tempo but today he seemed a second slow with his reads and wasn't giving receivers an opportunity to make plays. It must have driven Richt crazy...

The throw to berrios on the flag and one to Thomas were wide open, must-have plays if you're otherwise not on your game.

HUH? Richt was annoyed at the half with Rosier but gave him another chance in second half. Surprised he didn't bench him sooner.Adjust to what??

This is such dumb logic. "We're going to lose anyway" which is exactly why something needed to change.

Yes, and that didn't have to involve going to Even Sheriffs with 10 minutes to go. You probably have 3 total possessions left at that point down two scores and you have field position. Not the time to be trying to teach a lesson.

If the ship was going to sink, you go down with Rosier there

Sheriffs needs to transfer. Waste of scholly next year. No way he beats Mailk, Perry or Weldon for #2

he **** the bed today and looked like he was playing not to lose; it's not a referendum on Richt's offense (no FB).
Problem with watching on TV is you can't always see who else was open, because there's poor accuracy and poor decision-making at play for sure.

That said, I think it was the accuracy that brought out the hook. He's gotta give guys a chance to make a play, and for 3+ quarters with 2 turnovers he couldn't get it together.

People on here acting like the defense hasn't been bailing the team out all season. When you're playing as poorly as Malik was playing you have to do something, and Richt did it as much for Malik as he did for the team. Malik needed to get his head out of his ***, because sometimes...it looks like he's going through the motions.

I only wish he would have been benched sooner.

We completely abandoned the running game and that is on Rict. Homer had what? 7 Carries? And no, I'm not counting on Rosier scrambles as part of the running game. Pitt's D was just teeing off on the OL all game since they didn't have to worry about a running play after the start of the second half. We shot ourselves in the foot by putting all on Rosier when we needed balance.

Running game wasn’t getting anywhere. You are going to keep running in 7-8 Man boxes?

Passing game wasn't going anywhere either. But if you at least keep running, Homer will eventually break off a long run or two. At least give him a chance to. It was obvious that Rosier didn't have it so at least get Homer involved to see what he can do.

They were stacking the line. Shut down the run game plan. Challenged Rosier to beat them passing. THey were right on the game plan. Accurate passer shreds a bad passing defense of Pitt

Too bad CMR doesn’t hold himself accountable with this atrocious Offense.

He's still playing with a lot of OLs he didn't recruit. We've always had trouble recruiting OLs. South Florida, in the '80's, produced very few elite OLs. It's getting a lot better but it's not there yet. Rosier was constantly harassed today. If we had been able to get some push in the running game it would have helped our passing game. You have to be able to run when your passing game is off. Let's see if Richt can bring in some dominating OLs. That will be key.

You can't just go 3 runs and out all game and hope it starts working. At some point Rosier needed to get his sht right if we were going to win. OL didn't help, but he missed too many throws. Didn't love Richt's play calling but he did enough to win, this was all on Rosier.

Rosier is a tough competitive fb player.. him being pulled will only motivate him to get his shxt together before the ACCCG and the cfb playoffs begin.
