I know it couldn't be worse. From what I remember reading, he's actually a really good OC.

Thoughts?

He couldn't be worse. We had first and goal twice and came away with three points (and were lucky the lateral was blown dead). Truthfully, you don't deserve to win a game when you are that inept in handling gifts from the defense.

Everyone knew that Louisville was going to make Kaaya try to beat them, and our OC didn't at least try to go that route. I understand trying to protect a true freshman QB, but you don't do that by continuing to try to run the footbal against 8-9 man fronts and then forcing the kid to try to make plays in third and unmanageable.

Thoughts? Yes, yours are bad. Luke for HC though? I LIKE it!!!!!

No that is dumb

Allowing Coley to call plays after last year's cluster is dumb. Let's see his credentials before coming here:

3 years of calling plays at Norland

1 year calling plays at FIU - They finished dead last (120/120 teams) in scoring offense (15.1 PPG)

That's it.

Harris might not be qualified to the extent we would like him to be but it's better than the alternative. He has 20+ years of successful experience calling plays.. People called Arkansas crazy when they hired Malzahn to OC out of HS. I'm not saying he's on that level but I do think it would bring instant improvement. Desperation is a stinky cologne.

Call Rob Chudzinski right now. He's got some BS title in Indy and he would instantly make this team better. It's not going to happen but I can dream.

Im just gonna cut n paste my respone from the WEZ and will use it whenever anyone brings up this nonsense.

I dont get this shizz, people want change and then they go find someone even more incompetent than the guy before? If we were to make a change get someone who has gotten results, we are supposed to be a big time D1 school, get someone proven and stop hiring guys to learn on job super cheap.

Love Ice, but I dont want him coordinating at UM until he has done it on college level

Is this a serious thread? I thought this was a tongue in cheek sort of sarcastic thread.

Really? A first time position coach WEEKS out of HS, is going to become the OC at a major Division I program? Granted Coley isn't all that experienced, but he was OC and Co-OC with Jimbo at FSU before coming here. And if the slap is that the dude is too inexperienced, how is that made better by hiring someone even MORE inexperienced?

We need a good X and Os guy. With high level experience in college or the NFL.

Ice Harris may be a better HC

In high school, or at famu or BCC.

If he wants to coordinate or head coach at miami, let him go from position coach then OC at like USF or something have success, then go to UCF and do something prolific, then get Head gig at USF and do something big, then get the GT gig or NCST and get them to atleast ACC championship once. Then we can bring him up. If he is a fast riser maybe he skips the GT gig or something. Not this nonsense you guys are spewing.

Smh. Ice Harris. Lmao

Memories are fading....when Coley was in HS, was Ice his coach?

While we're on the HS tip. I think Golden and Dnof were HS offensive coordinators at the same school, at the same exact time. I know those two shared a dorm @ PSU? But they've literally been connected at the hip for **** near 30 yrs.

Somebody call Chip Kelly and pay him whatever he wants to leave Philly to come to us.
