Ok so I'm off by a season or two. It all runs together tbh. (thought that group overlapped)

When I try to think back, I just start crying again.
 
It’s crazy to think how many snaps scaife and Zion have under their belt. Scaife has basically started four years now. Same with Zion. Clark has played a ton. Rivers is young but maybe the most talented one. Campbell is old but maybe doesn’t have the shear amount of snaps. Good on him for sticking it out and battling for playtime.

BUT.. CBS released a mock draft today that had Zion going 5th overall. I don't put much stock in the mock draft, but it does stand out as another example of Zion's talent and high expectations. So if he's ready to play, he needs to play.

Seems like we've tried the Scaife at RG experiment multiple times now and his best position is RT.

I'd prefer to go with Zion/Campbell at LT and Scaife/ Campbell or Cooper at RT, until after A&M.

My question is at backup C if something happens to Clark. Yeah we have guys who can play the position. But I don't wanna see any fumbles/bad snaps due to unfamiliarity. Didn't the turnover near the goal line happen when Denis come in to replace Clark?

Zion 5th? That's kinda crazy. It seems that NFL draft pundits hold him in higher regard than we do, which is rather surprising. Does anyone here think that's warranted?

Yeah 5th overall sounds like a reach. I have a hard time believing he'll go that high, but the hype is real.

These way too early mock drafts are usually attention grabs. I think the difference here though is that he's been getting first round talk for over a year. McShay still has him as a first round pick (top 20 IIRC) and Kiper has him as his 5th or 6th best tackle. And clearly CBS is high on him too. That's a lot of praise.

Yep. We also did it a bunch in the 2010-2014 era when we had a lot of big linemen.

Cooper was 6th OL on the play TVD fumbled last week. We will see more of it.

Scaife was decent at RT even as a true freshman , but he’s been bad at guard every time they’ve put him there. Cant understand smart people ignoring the last 3 years
