We then need to do some fundraising. I can donate services like cleaning pools with the owners in it.

It's not about Northwestern...the point is...if a university like Northwestern is plowing $270 million into their football facilities, schools in the SEC and other powerhouse conferences are going to annihilate schools that can't keep up with those budgets/facilities, thus recruiting will be next to impossible when competing against said schools. Seriously...did I really have to explain that to you?
Didn't even read that ***g!try. This is a CANES board and you're always sucking off the next team. You're one of the worst porsters in CIS history.
Just
![]()
So are you going to start a new thread for each of the remaining 106 Div1a college football facilities?
Oh goody, can't wait.
I may have to forego watching the WNBA and midget **** this summer.
You poor thing, nursing on your mommy at your age is far North of disgusting. You said; "Didn't even read that ***g!try." First you need to learn how to read, moron. Run along junior as I hear your mommy calling you for a milky dinner.
At least then it would be relevant.
It's a gorgeous facility no doubt. But I think Northwestern has hit it's ceiling. OSU,Michgan, Wisconsin, and a surging Nebraska will be ruling that conference for the next decade. You're not going to be getting the best recruits in the country to come to your school by selling them on nice views of Lake Michigan( the frozen tundra from December to March). Northwestern can only aspire to be what Oregon is post-Kelly.
FFS not this nonsense again...I'll make it easy for the conflicted
KIDS WANT TO WIN. PERIOD.
Tell me how many titles Oregon has won with their over the top facilities...I'll wait.
Tell me how many titles/games has Alabama won "with their over the top facilities"? Tell me how many titles/games has Clemson won "with their over the top facilities"? ...I'll wait.
Bassman, you always post these "If Miami doesn't mortgage their future now and spend $2 BILLION on facilities, they are doomed!!!" stories. Perhaps some context is in order:
- HC Pat Fitzgerald is a Northwestern alum who has stayed based on promises that new facilities were coming...They are fulfilling a promise.
- It's not like they aren't getting more TV money to do this build: SEC passing out a record $41m per team, and the Big Ten might pass it
- Seems that when it comes to $$$, Northwestern is more likely to spend it on competing with academic rivals in their conference, like Michigan:
The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business Celebrates Grand Opening of New Academic Building
Yep, that Stephen Ross; his namesake school is right on Northwestern's Kellogg Management School's heels in academic rankings. So what does Northwestern do? Global Hub | Kellogg School of Management | Northwestern
Looks like Northwestern's priority isn't exactly football only in the grand scheme of things.
You need to chill, like your brother Billy
$2 billion??? What in the **** are you taking about.
For the umpteenth time on this thread...pointing out what Northwestern is doing was done from the vantage point that if a school, not exactly known for winning College Football National Championships, believes they have to make an extraordinary investment in football facilities to just stay relevant should be an eye opener to ANY team that hopes to be relevant on the college landscape in the coming years .
I realize this reality makes the heads of many on this message board explode, but denying it is happening is absurd. Like it or not (and I sure as **** do not like it) the high end football facilities train has left the station and the Canes are going to have to find a way to get on-board or be left behind.
Explode? Hardly. Yeah $2 Billion, because all you ever do is talk about ever someone's "Taj Mahal" that Miami doesn't have and here is a value number for...The Taj Mahal:
https://www.quora.com/How-much-is-the-Taj-Mahal-worth
You got off easy at $2 Billion.
You are like those troops I had in the USAF who always whined about something but couldn't suggest a course of action to correct...
Airman Whiner "Gee Sgt Child Care Worker, I want to be off Friday but I have a duty day...WAAAAAAHHHH!"
(Me) "Did You ask Airman Booger if he could switch days with you?"
"Oh gee, no, I'll do that now!"
Same thing here Bassy, what funding model are you proposing and for what facility? Bond Issue with the interest paid by raising tuition even more? Frenk asking Carlos Slim for a donation in exchange for naming rights? Since this is your constant gripe, what serious proposals are you putting forth so that Miami can build (if space can be found on an already crowded campus) your Taj Mahls?

No, you didn't. That's why nobody can figure out wtf you were thinking posting this.
Shut up, you always make time for midget ****.So are you going to start a new thread for each of the remaining 106 Div1a college football facilities?
Oh goody, can't wait.

ErnstEatMyAss, UM doesn't have $260mm to spend, nor would we have to. It called a strategic advantage. We have several-- brand, location, proximity to an embarrassment of talent riches-- and they have none. Hence, why they have to spend this kind of money and we don't. We're in Miami, they're in Evanston, Illinois. It's irrelevant.
