Wisconsin officially sues Miami over Xavier Lucas

Gosh this guy is like jilted x-girlfriend! He's going to start sending Lucus selfies hanging out with the new Wisconsin DB! With the caption "I told him to put it anywhere".

I am confused... If Wisconsin had a contract with Lucas and there is no legal agreement between Miami and Wisconsin, even if the contract was enforceable wouldn't it be Lucas breaking the contract?

Perhaps the ncaa might try to enforce something, but not seeing how this is a legal issue between Wisconsin and Miami.

From Big Ten office:

"The Big Ten Conference is aware of the litigation recently filed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison against the University of Miami and is supportive of UW-Madison's position. As alleged, the University of Miami knowingly ignored contractual obligations and disregarded the principle of competitive equity that is fundamental to collegiate athletics. The Big Ten Conference believes that the University of Miami's actions are irreconcilable with a sustainable college sports framework and is supportive of UW-Madison's efforts to preserve."

Be willing to bet that Taint, Me-Cheat-Again and Pedo State were right there to back up Wisconsin's whining

Should be interesting. With as much time that has passed, they must think they have something. Certainly can’t expect we will get a fair shake.

This is the point that everyone seems to be missing and is the bigger concern rather than the lawsuit itself.
It’s not a major concern. The B10 has to support a current member school in a suit against another non-conference school. Their silence would be more telling than a generic support statement.

No one school could hurt us in realignment, other than maybe ND. If we don’t end up in the B10, it won’t be because of Wisconsin.

Interested in your take on the situation. Could this just be optics for something bigger the conferences are trying to push through?
That’s what I think. I believe the suit is look for a precedence for breaking these contracts and etc.
