Win Out.

But the guy was an Aaron Murray completion away from winning the national championship in 2012 (UGA was beating ND that year), has had 10 double-digit win seasons since 2001

1. The Titans were one yard away from possibly winning the SB, the Seahawks were two yards away from winning the SB, Green Bay was an onside kick recovery away from making it the SB, etc etc. You could do this type of different scenario b-ull**** with a ton of teams.
2. If you count this year, Richt has 4 ten win+ seasons in the last ten years and 3 eight wins or less seasons in that same span (possibly 4 unless UM wins out this year). So it's very possible after this year, he will have as many 8 wins or less seasons as he does ten win seasons in the last 10 years.

Valid points. I'm willing to let the season play out to see where we end up before calling the tenure a failure. You might not be there, and that's cool. I just hope you're wrong, and I'm right, LOL.

Our schedule is NOT pathetic. We've played 3 very good teams. LSU, UVA and BC. Only our wins look pathetic. lol

I'll repeat, our schedule is pathetic. LSU is going to end up being the only above average team we play all year.

Just because BC and UVA are ok by crappy ACC standards doesn't change the standards.

You are completely delusional. A problem has risen (Offense overall) and has been magnified by an inept QB. It is completely irrational to think ANY program would consider firing Richt at this juncture. I know its doom and gloom right now but you have to give him the opportunity to right the ship before you consider pulling the trigger.
These are the scenarios I see
1. He doesn't change a **** thing and gambles on Perry or Williams being able to run his O at a high level. Big gamble because both are still young and he is passed the point now where he can use that as an excuse because it wasn't working before they took over.
2. He makes some coaching changes and the offense is tweaked.
3. He hires an OC

I think we will see #2 before he goes to 3. If he goes with #1 then he is a river boat gambler.

You calling me delusional is all sorts of ironic, and delusional in and of itself.

This problem goes WAYYYY beyond an underqualified OC

Is Stanford firing Shaw?
Should TCU fire Patterson?
Is UW gonna can Peterson?
Is Auburn firing Malzahan?
Did Notre Dame fire Brian Kelly when things weren't going perfectly?
Did Tom Herman lose to Maryland again this year?

We might all know deep down what Richt's ceiling is but let's not order a bunch of pizzas to his house just yet.

I know there's a ton of negativity on this board right now -- much of it deserved -- and many of you won't think it's possible.

But win the f*ck out.

I wrote on this thread earlier this season that the depth of our junior and senior classes just isn't there for us to compete with Top 10 programs this year. (Thread here: https://www.canesinsight.com/thread...cruiting-rankings-through-this-season.137034/). I believe this will be BY FAR the weakest team Richt will field during his Miami tenure (however long or short that will be), and that the younger depth coming up will get us closer to where we need to be.

I think last year (minus the final three games) showed us where we can be as a program. I think this year showed us what work remains before we get there (namely, matching our defensive aggressiveness on the offensive side of the football and upgrading the coaching staff to a level consistent with top 5 teams in the country). I think that good will come out of the lessons learned this year, and that the staff will make the changes necessary to get us back to dominating the Coastal and getting involved in the playoff picture.

But it starts with winning out. Get to 9-3, win the bowl game to finish with 10 wins, carry momentum into recruiting season, and come back with a fresh new look in 2019.

I'll be there cheering on the guys Saturday, as disappointed as I am. I hope the banners don't fly just yet -- we need to see if changes come at the end of the season before that should occur, and we need the kids to know the city's behind them.

Win out. Find a way.

Rosier quit to start career at car wash early?

UVA will likely attain the very goal that UM fans set out for their team this season.... winning the CoaRstal. BC will finish no worse than 9-3. Both teams will be ranked coming into bowl season.

That's not much of a goal. I stand by my original statement.

Sorry, but I'm not leaving anything to chance...especially when we're dealing with THE most inept administration in the country. If we go on a run here and beat a bunch of teams we should beat anyways, that could be enough for them to conclude to give it more time as is.

Sorry......but the best outcome for this program is for **** to go sideways on Richt from here on out. It's the only way any real pressure will be put on him.
yeah.. Canes end the year beating 3 or 4 ACC bottom feeders. that should get Mork a 20 year extension and a 3M a year raise ! /SARC

i agree with you Jedi. we are stuck in Richt **** until we get to a Clemson-style *** whoopin on national TV. why does it have to get that far ? most other schools would dump Mork after a 3 year no real improvement ****show.

And I stand by mine. The Canes will have lost to the 3 best teams they faced in 2018, record-wise.

Both statements can be true. They will lose to the best 3 teams they faced, but two of those teams aren't very good and not worthy of attaching an positive connotation to.

Again, speaks to the utter ****tiness of the pathetic schedule. A wasted opportunity.

I’m gonna root for running the table the remainder of the schedule on the strength of a revised O.

I've referrenced in many threads that the Don Bailey Jr cheerleaders aren't very intelligent and should go root for another team. This is a perfect example of this.

You root for what's best for the program.. Period.
DBJ is a transparent douche. He’s the propaganda wing of the Hecht. F that guy.

I kinda agree that anybody who buys into anything he sells is a little bit off.

There’s nothing wrong with this team that even average play calling and average QB play couldn’t fix. Unfortunately the playcalling is well below average and the QB play is abysmal. With even say Stephen Morris and James Coley we’re likely sitting 7-1 and ranked about 8th right now, OL challenges notwithstanding - and I liked those guys okay but they were far from world beaters.

Now, that’s our schedule from 1988, and those are my expectations. Don’t give me this sh.it about UVA and BC being “good” teams.
