Win and we’re in

Andrew, you are an administrator and I appreciate all the work you've done for the site but sometimes I really question your intelligence .

You are certifiably insane if you don't think we get in with a win.

I posted the scenarios above (of one in which we get in). What's your thoughts?

My thought is if we win we are in. Period.

It's a nobel thought, but who is out. Do you think a 2 loss SEC Champ gets on? What about a 2 loss BIG champ?

Andrew...

There is NO SCENARIO where a 1-loss ACC Champion is left out. ZERO. Go play with the 538 simulation thingy. Miami winning is getting in every time, every scenario. They are always, by percentage, behind Oklahoma and the SEC Champion. They are behind Wisconsin if Wisconsin wins, but ahead of everyone else.

No conference championship game for Alabama puts their inclusion into this playoff at nearing slim without some crazy **** happening. They might still get in, but it will not be at the expense of Miami. The most likely scenario for Alabama is if TCU wins the BigXII Championship or if Ohio State wins their conference championship. If the latter happens, its basically a coin flip for the committee.

LOCKS:
1. SEC Champ
--- Auburn is in with wins over Bama and Georgia x2
--- Georgia is in. 1 Loss SEC champ with wins over ND and Auburn

2. ACC Champ
--- Clemson will be #1 in the rankings with a Bama loss. If they win the ACC, this is a no brainer
--- Miami is in. They'll have toppled #1 Clemson, #1 SOR, win the ACC, also wins over ND (potential top 10 finish), VaTech (Top 25)

3. Oklahoma if they win out

4. Wisky if they win out

Potentially in
1. Bama with an OU loss or Wisky loss. Two loss TCU is not jumping Bama and a Three loss OSU isn't doing it either.

OUT:
- Clemson with a loss
- Miami with a loss
- Auburn with a loss
- Wisky with a loss
- Bama if Wisky and OU both win
- Georgia with a loss
- PAC12 champ

What I think will happen:
Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami, and OSU win next week

Rankings
1. Oklahoma
2. Georgia
3. Miami
4. Bama

Wanna puke thinking about it, but an ND win over Stanford pads our resume a bit. Gives us the best win of the year, outside of Auburn over Georgia/Bama. I think Georgia takes care of business and if we do, we would have the best win of the remaining Power 5 champs. Either way, WE ARE getting in if we win. Just win baby

These guys don't get it. Miami would have wins over two top 15 teams, a conference title and one loss. Bama has no signature wins and no conference title. They are the ones that need help. People need to stop gargling their *******.

Notre Dame just lost and is likely out of the top 15. Virginia Tech is ranked 25. If we beat Clemson, it will be the best win we have and better than any win Alabama has. Ideally this would put us in ahead of them. All that being said Alabama will argue that the only reason they are not in the SEC Championship game is because Auburn is on their side of the division and that their one loss is better than ours. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see us in the playoffs, I just think most fans are not realistic in how the SEC is looked upon but everyone else.

You are totally delusional.

ND will still probably be ranked higher than LSU tomorrow and VT will be ranked higher than Miss St. Alabama has the reputation but not the wins. The committee can't say they value conference championships and strength of schedule and then pick a team that has neither. The rules are right there for them to see, they can't not enforce them.

There are no rules. They make them up as they go. That's what has some of us nervous.

I don't understand why people waste their time with these scenarios, if we win were in if not its the orange bowl pretty simple.

Clemson beat Auburn ,if we beat Clemson winning the conference Alabama who lost to Auburn will have no argument.

It's obvious to everyone, including myself, that we SHOULD be in with a win.

But the committee will do what's best for the committee and the NCAA....which means they may put Bama in ahead of us.

I’m sorry but if the committee is going by “resume”, Bama needs to be given serious consideration. Losing a tight, competitive game with Auburn on the road shouldn’t be a deal-breaker just because Georgia by default gets another chance because of their terrible division. Not to mention, Georgia was embarrassed by Auburn the first game so for them to have even a chance at this point is pitiful.

The ACC, yes, win and we will be in. And I will be there.

Oklahoma wins and they deserve to be in. Same situation as the ACC there.

And take Wisconsin if they win, the did all that was asked of them.

I just think either a team that has been blown out or lost twice should be out. Gotta show up and rebound at some point.

The committee doesn't like us. The committee does like Bama. If we beat Clemson, on the one hand, we would have beaten the #1 team and won our conference, which bodes well for us. But on the other hand, some pundits will be pushing hard for Bama to get in at our expense given that their loss to all-world Auburn looks better than our loss to lowly Pitt. This will be especially true if Auburn beats UGA again. So no, if we win, it's not necessarily a done deal.

Yes, better for the NCAA to put the same tired and stale teams in rather than a fresh team with national appeal and mega ratings.

If we win, we are in. That's it. No other way to slice it.

Look, if you think Alabama gets in over an ACC Champ Miami, you’re an idiot. There’s no other way about it.

The playoffs have never:
-Had two teams from the same conference
-Left out a 1 loss conference champion from a conference with a championship game
-Left out the ACC champion

The playoff rules favor Miami because we have a better strength of schedule and would have a championship.

So if your argument is that the playoff committee is going ignore all precedent they set, and ignore their own rules, then you’re just speculating and you sound like a wimpy *******. And you should stop posting about it, because it’s not based in reality. That has about the same chance of happening as Miami not getting an Orange Bowl bid if we lost to Clemson.

But if you’ve actually paid attention, there is a 0% chance Miami doesn’t get in and it’s a stupid conversation.
