Sorry, but Darrin Smith does NOT belong in that conversation if we're talking HS athletes. He transformed himself after he got to college.
 
Didn't he have a hard time getting along with Randy Shannon?
I think they were polar opposite in personality...

Foresight is rare and a gift. Hindsight is 100% guaranteed Inevitable. That’s what happens with time and age. But yes, you have to hand it to him, he’s turned himself around. This could have gone in so many different ways. The most destructive of which, would be regret, self hate, and more destructive ways. He chose good.

I saw Freddie play 3 times in 79 before I went to Culinary school....He was a sight to behold...5'10 190lbs of Electricity....
 
Bill Gierke is the best HS FB Coach in the History of Central Fl...absolutely Legendary...He told me on multiple occasions that WW was without question the best HS FB player he ever saw and coached against. He said he tried to adjust to WW at halftime of State Championship game vs Carol City...(he was HC at Orlando Edgewater)...and said it had no effect whatsoever....
