Willie in 305

Barry Jackson just said he asked Dugans if he'd be the WR coach next year and Dugans declined to comment. TIFWIW. Still holding out hope he stays based off Tweed's confidence.

Welp

Unacceptable. If we can't compete with FSU in keeping our good coaches we will never be a championship level program again.

Dugans is worth the extra money. He got production out of mediocre guys like Langham. The WR core was one of the most consistent, hard working and toughest blocking groups in college football and he's an A plus recruiter.

Pay the man.

It's not money.

It's going back to his alma mater AND getting a Co-OC title, which Taggart is offering.

As others have said, can't hate him if he goes. He did a great job here and helped turn the position around. At the same time, no WR coach in the country is irreplaceable. Richt has made excellent hires so far and has extensive contacts. I'm confident he'll hire someone good to replace him.

If you're a good college team, your coaches are going to get poached. that happens even at Alabama

Doesn't he technically already have that? He is the passing game coordinator for UM, with Brown being the running game coordinator.

Lol you certainly have a change of tone since that PM you sent me about Dugans. Fraudulent.

I can't wait till Tagfart fills his staff so you facquits can stop wringing your tiny hands over him taking Dugans.

You're shivering over some brainless twit who can't even hold onto recruits at FSU. Yet you think he's going to take Rick's black son from him?

The ol' getting worked up about somebody else getting worked up, but not being worked up. haha.

I’m not even worried.

He’s a very good coach, very personable, very good recruiter, really gets those receivers to block, but in the end assistants do get poached from the best of programs in situations like this.

If the call of the alma mater and more money is greater than the bond with Rick and the program, then he’ll go. If it isn’t, he won’t. You don’t want to panic either way, though. Pay him what he’s worth, but don’t overreact and overpay either.

Bamas coaches get poached to become Head Coaches. If we lost him to Bama because they paid him something ridiculous its one thing. Sam Pittman the OL coach for Georgia makes a mil and a half or so. I don't expect UM to pay that kind of money to keep someone.

But not FSU. FSU doesn't have the deep pockets that should be taking anyone from our staff away.

Its not that I'm worried about not replacing him with someone good its kind of like, for example, wanting to keep a recruit in order to send the message to other teams to stay out of South Florida. In other words look elsewhere unless you are ready to overpay like Bama.

UM can't lose coaches to lateral moves if we expect to be big dogs. If you lose coaches it better be to promotions, or you look like a MAC program.

If Dugans is smart, he'll parlay this into a nice raise from UM and keep working at the better program for a stable HC who will be here as long as he wants. Some of you simps get too dramatic. Your boy Beanerdict Arnold Cristobag showed you how much that alma mater **** means to these guys.

An alma mater is not the end-all-be-all for coaches see Mario Cristobal as an example.

You can't lose your position coaches to lateral moves in the power 5. And forget that "co" this title crap. He'll be the WR coach and have the same job.

No clue what happens here but if it does end up that he has North for a lateral position, that needs to get fixed. Having coaches take lateral moves isn't a good look, especially in recruiting when you're trying to convince everybody you're the stronger program.

I’ve had farts that smell better than FSU’s program right now. They literally smell like **** right now. 6 losses, in the 40’s in recruiting and no cooridinators. If Dugans wants to go there, let him.

As long as pope, hightower and wiggins ain't leaving i'll pack dugans bags. Then hire santana moss to fill his spot.

If he goes it will take Richt about 15 minutes to fill the position with some young stud coach dying to work his majic with this type talent. Dugans had to see that he is on a 2-3 deal with Willie cause I doubt HD gets past that on his contract.

After that Willie is headed back to the USF of the world cause no P5 is gonna a guy that can’t sit still and can’t coach which will be his two resume entries.

I think Dugans is smarter than to leave. If he’s not then that’s on him.We will fill that spot pretty quick. In 3 years I doubt he gets a job as fast at least not at a top 10 school.
