On one hand it isn’t unreasonable to believe Pate has become gun shy with picking the Canes because we find a way to ***** it up every time for the last 20 yrs.

On the other hand UF is laughable garbage and has no business being anywhere near the playoff convo. Especially with Lagway yet to take a live rep since last season.

Where I have issue is that he knows Beck is a baller. He knows UGA’s offense is cratering. He knows Dawson has a history of making chicken salad out of chicken **** in the passing game. If our secondary and Defense overall plays to its talent level. We aren’t just a contender for the playoff we are a contender for the title. That’s why I think he’s trending SEC schill. The fact he thinks we could miss the playoff if our defense comes correct is absurd.

I am anticipating us running rough shod through this schedule if the defense and offense are what the coaches seem to think they will be. The barometer is ND. Two weeks. We win or lose close and there’s no excuse not to finish the season 11-1.

FTR, I think if we win it will not be close and I think we are going to win.

I don’t get the Florida pick in there. Part of my 8 win season projection is a loss to Florida and I actually think we win that game now because I don’t think we will see Lagway and if we do, he’ll be hobbled.

Dillingham is a very very good OC, likely the best in the nation. He's track record is unreal starting Memphis, which ironically came after Norvell (Mike was mid 30s) and he upgraded that to top 5. (FSU hired the wrong Memphis coach). Was at Auburn with Bo Nix and THAT was the one year amazing blip of offense. His FSU stint was absolute junk, but once he got away from Mike he flourished again over at Oregon.

I am Ok with him

But having FL there at #8 is rough

So he got the tier 1 teams placed generally well but that isn't hard to do at all. After #7 it's an absolute s*** show. Basically half his top 25 wasn't ranked by season's end. And his preseason poll is not that much different from the AP and Coaches, who had 13 teams preseason end up unranked.

Just goes to show that preseason polls serve no positive purpose and only create early bias that is very difficult to overcome.
 
For 20 years, we thought we were legit and the media ignored us......then we complained.

Turns out, they were right every season and we were wrong.

We've accomplished jack **** in the ACC for 20 seasons. What a shock that a media figure doesn't pick us to win the conference (again).

Until we PROVE IT, no one is going to suck off the U.
