The comparison was made with Mack Brown. Who took eleven seasons and got two ten win seasons. It took Mack five to get 8 wins and Butch only three. Just killing the comparison first.

As far as the NFL talent, they had some tough loses in 2009. Almost like a certain talent loaded team he coached in 1999. But he came back from that with a national title worthy team in 2000. Can't say the 2010 team would have done the same but they would have wrecked the ACC. He built the talent and sometimes they have to grow up before taking the next step.
