He’s super quick just doesn’t have that elite top end gear to pull away, he definitely ain’t slow
Everything you are saying is track talk and something that would get him right.. Hester ran track at the U.. All our guys did back then, it was encouraged.. Been saying for years guys hsould get back to that because it only benefits.. Even if just the practices, doesnt even have to be the meet (But Portis said the Meets were some of the best college days of his life, IYKYK)I’m not saying he’s slow at all and obviously he has good speed. But there’s a difference between short-burst speed and long-term speed, and that’s where turnover comes in.
Guys like Devin Hester aren’t just fast solely because of genetics. They have efficient stride mechanics that allow their turnover to increase once they’re upright and running, which is how they hit that second gear. His stride mechanics are not clean which is preventing him from having that next level speed like Santana Moss or Hester.
The good thing is that he has everything you need to be an elite fast guy. He’s got the burst, the quick-twitch, and the power. Mechanics are actually the easiest thing to fix. This is something that can absolutely be cleaned up in the offseason.
maybe he will do some track training this offseasonI’m not saying he’s slow at all and obviously he has good speed. But there’s a difference between short-burst speed and long-term speed, and that’s where turnover comes in.

What I find hilarious is that he is actually fighting himself when he runs…LOL
The thing I’ve noticed is his running stride once he breaks into the open field. When he hits daylight, it doesn’t look like he has a true second gear. His stride mechanics are what’s slowing him down.
Keeping it simple. He has to much ground contact. Ideally you want to decrease your ground contact and increase your stride length.
To me it’s like he is shuffling his feet..lol. It’s weird because once he his (second gear) his stride decreases which slows him down
Beating angles is his “short burst speed” That means he has the genetics, power and quick twitch fibers already in place.Has consistently gotten to the corner and broke angles on that punt return. Yet a diving shoe string tackle means he’s slow or doesn’t have a second gear? Get out of here.

Turn over or “second gear” is all about mechanics or in simple terms “technique”. A track coach would get him to improve his stride.
One off season of stride training, when he bends that corner, he is gone!!!
Cis can’t handle successCIS is absolutely wild sometimes.
Did the guy who tackled him chase him down? No he didn’t. Did the guy behind the guy who sold out, dove, and clipped his foot close ground….nope. I get what you’re trying to say but he isn’t slow and doesn’t seem slow.Beating angles is his “short burst speed” That means he has the genetics, power and quick twitch fibers already in place.

Honestly, Malachi has to house that. He would tell you himself. What I am pointing out is that his break away speed is only impacted by his stride mechanics which can be fixed on one off season.Did the guy who tackled him chase him down? No he didn’t.
