If there’s a thread on a potential candidate, and the staff is told not to release info, then they can just stay out of the threads and leave it to the masses.

Not trying to stir the pot, but people are speculating. Therefore, if threads on ONE PARTICULAR PERSON keep disappearing, doesn't that serve as a tip-off?

I just wanted to know the reason; I was unaware people on staff here would have to protect certain information. Makes sense to me.

Why is it a bad look to have regular posters post about potential hires? Stefan sure left that Applewhite thread up a long time, but yet anytime a poster brought up David Yost it was deleted with the quickness.

I would argue a staff member breaking information from inside sources, then leaving it up when it was confirmed not to happen yet, is more of a bad look than a poster talking about a potential candidate.
