Who in all that is unholy is pushing Dorsey as HC...
anywhere...
You realize he's never been an OC right? Why should we be the guinea pigs?' I'd take him as QB coach, but that's pretty much it.Throw his name around all you want. I'd love him as an OC here.
But his boss, Brian Daboll, is a hot name for an NFL head coaching gig next year. When that happens, he's pulling Dorsey with him wherever he goes or the Bills will promote him to call plays.
He's literally outside the NFL OC store, waiting for it to open for business.
He's not coming here.
This is the first time I've seen his name pushed for HC, so congrats on the self fulfilling prophecy attempt?Next logical step is OC... no?
We still have an HC...Jesus.Multiple.. Including Merriweather interview..

Also, I love Ken Dorsey, but does he even give a **** about The U? In the 20 years he's been gone, how many times has he even been to the U? I don't even think he came to the 20 year reunion last month (please correct me if I am wrong). And let's not forget that he was working at FIU at some point, so he could've easily came over to at least talk to the guys.
There can't be ANY truth to these Dorsey as HC rumors. People's heads would EXPLODE if Dorsey got a shot at HC. Every time there's a coaching search of any kind all kinds of BS names are thrown around. This is to prime the fan base for a potentially ***** hire. They're going to swing for the fence with Mario, Lane, etc., but if they strike out, they will hire another Al Golden type and the people will be happy that at least they didn't go with the candidate who arguably doesn't give a **** about The U and who hasn't ever earned a shot as OC by any professional or collegiate organization.
Just because it's possible doesn't make it a good idea. I mean, you can jump out of a plane without a parachute, and not die. It's been done before (like over a forest or in deep snow). Doesn't make it a good idea.I mean it's not entirely impossible. Leftwich was only a QB coach for two years before becoming TBs full time offensive coordinator.
I'd be willing to bet Dorsey is a smarter dude and he's actually cut his teeth longer. He's been an NFL QB coach for seven years. Turned Cam into an MVP and completely refined Josh Allen. He was promoted to the Bills pass game coordinator this off-season. So yeah, it looks to me like he's actually making upward progression.
Or we can not be guinea pigs and just hire proven college play-callers like Mark Whipple and Rhett Lashlee.
Yeah, maybe he doesn't like the U. You still can't deny that Dorsey is one of the top offensive minds to step foot on campus in the last 22 years
Would be a great OC/QB coach hire IMO. Look how good he made Cam Newton look and how bad Cam has been since he left. Also, look at what he's done with Josh Allen the last couple seasons. Dorsey was always so smart.Next logical step is OC... no?
