Why is Dorsey's name being pushed for HC?

I want an experienced HC. Im saying that some of these names i have to look at in a different light given we are saying we are gonna spend more money, which means better staff. Being a NFL guy Dorsey may be able to put together a great staff. Dabo was a WR coach at Clemson. Don't jump on my post saying i want Dorsey. Im just saying i look at these hires different if we have money for proper assistants.

Would be a great OC/QB coach hire IMO. Look how good he made Cam Newton look and how bad Cam has been since he left. Also, look at what he's done with Josh Allen the last couple seasons. Dorsey was always so smart.
Agree. Would be my first call as a head coach.

Just because it's possible doesn't make it a good idea. I mean, you can jump out of a plane without a parachute, and not die. It's been done before (like over a forest or in deep snow). Doesn't make it a good idea.

Leftwich is a bad example. He's got Brady and Brady's all star vet squad. I could probably coach that offense and at least get to the playoffs. Everyone thought Bellichick was some offensive genius until Brady left.

What's so bad about a proven OC? Jedd Fisch was good. Whipple has had his good moments. Lashlee isn't a bad OC, per se, he just needs a dramatic overhaul of his run philosophy, especially in short yardage situations.

Nothing against Ken. Love the guy. One of my all time favorite Canes. Great QB coach, for even longer than 7 years (even when he was technically still a player, he was getting contracts to work with young QBs, such as Brady Quinn). I would just prefer it if we got someone who's already cut their teeth. We've getting dict around for 20 years. We deserve better.

GO CANES!!!

Leftwich had the #3 offense in 2019. His first year as OC, without Tom Brady, and with Jameis .

Proven or not, I don't think experience is necessarily the best deciding factor in coordinator choices. If that's the case, bring back guys like Coker, Shannon, or Charlie Strong

But look at the results and track his record on his progression as a coach at the highest level of football competition. Ken would kill it as an OC here, IMO.

What progression? He's a career QB coach.

At the end of the day boss, you and I probably are just hoping for a fix to this train that has been derailed by weak spines and **** poor decision makers.
You really want this guy to be your OC 😂
