Why can’t Miami be consistently good?

Coaching of course but also lack of elite talent. Ex. If Golden landed Dalvin Cook instead of Yearby who knows what could have happened even with his bad coaching and D'no. 1 player can change a lot.

Whens the last time we had a legit Heisman caliber player?

It's not really coaching. Butch and Coker were terrible coaches and had success despite that because of who was on the roster. I also think we glamorize Schnelly, Jimmy, and Dennis as coaches. Sure, they were very good coaches for the era, but only Jimmy had success elsewhere.

The real truth is that while Miami slept by letting the OB and our facilities rot with Shalala, the landscape of CFB changed radically and the most damning aspect of that is that our local talent pool is by and large full of weak, effeminate, and passive primadonnas who do not want to work or grind like the old school dawgs. Give me a team of guys like Bain and watch what happens.

Also bad Coaching + subpar recruiting = Consistent losing & average seasons

Our struggles stem from the people in charge not knowing or caring about Football & when they finally do they’re very limited in the people they think can actually lead us to being a winning program. They see everything through the prism of the old glory years of Miami & having been chasing those ghosts for decades.

It’s just been a bad combination of the people who control the money making really stupid decisions based on nostalgia.

Richt’s problem wasn’t his health. He didn’t want to fire his son. So he had the same issue as Golden who didn’t want to fire his bff

He took us to the ACC title game after a decade plus of futility and whooped ND is what he did. He was a great midwestern football coach. And in this house Mark Richt is hero - end of story!

#1 is Dennis smith. Need that guy out ASAP

#2 Curse of the OB. That should be the stadium.

#3 mario good recruiter awful coach and game manager. Maybe if he would just be CEO and let a good OC run an offense it could be better

Miami admin has ****ed up a ton of things

The orange bowl debacle is not one of them despite those horrible ramifications. Renters don’t fix the house they rent even if they love it. Essentially that is what was going on. And Miami offered to put a degree of money in to renovate and even considered buying but corrupt miami government officials ****ed it all up because of other plans.

Give them **** on a ton. They deserve it. Miami misses it big time. But it’s not on UM
