Why are we killing ourselves?

Continue to be a fan. But expect the worst. But I wouldn’t spend much time on all the other stuff.

I’ll be at all the games. Tailgating with friends. But happy with a win but I won’t be ****ed when we lose.

I had the whole scene set up for the A&M game even though I really didn’t feel good in my heart after the Southern Miss game

But the A&M game did it for me. It was just all too familiar sadly. Details were different…but the eye test….it just didn’t feel good

Sad times for sure but I had to check out after that to be honest. Seeing the MTSU stats after skipping watching just confirmed it

I had confidence after A&M. I felt the offense would break out after and the d played well that game. Not a tough task going there and putting up a fight. But yea Middle Tennessee did it in for me. And honestly I’ve been busy during the last 4 games I really only watched the first half of Middle Tennessee and the final drive against Unc.

One thing that’s been a glaring theme for this team for years is killing our own momentum

Whenever we get a chance to go up two scores, or maybe even three, put games away or put a lot of pressure on a team…we implode. It’s happened pretty consistently but especially since Manny got here and now with Mario it’s the same thing

i agree. let's cancel the rest of the season and save ourselves the frustration of caring. players notified?
 
All we have at this point is to hope Mario purges the stink outta Miami if so we can enjoy the process

Frankly because we are locked into Mario for at least 4 years and for the fact that this is the best coaching staff (on paper) Miami has had since the early 2000's, I have no other choice than to convince myself that this team is no where near as talented as what I had hoped they would be. Hopefully he can bring in the kids, more specifically, the kids with the character to bring this team to the consistent 10 win level.

Still, blowout losses at home to MTSU and Duke are really inexcusable.

Anyway, hopefully Mario starts playing the guys who will compete and don't think their star value will automatically translate to wins on the field. No other way to look at it as other than a full rebuild and hope to see the team develop and improve on a week-by-week basis - even if it doesn't translate to a win. Big time failure this past week though.
 
This is the absolute best time for canes football. We bump hot take threads, yell at each other, make memes, and laugh at incompetence.
