Why are we honoring the 2001 team against Pitt instead of FSU?

[TouchMoney26]

Makes absolutely no sense why we're honoring the 2001 team against Pitt instead of FSU. You got five-star recruits and elite talent from all over the country coming in for the game vs fsu .. Imagine having the greatest team ever assembled back on the field and rocking the 2001 uniforms against our biggest rival. How the **** is that not the obvious choice?

[MovingZen]

Reasonable take.. but they might be saving it for Pitt cause the *** waxing fsu is going to get.. coaches might think that's as good of a selling point as they need for that night.

[Cane_Mutiny]

I agree with you... but they're trying to sell tickets, and they probably thought Pitt needed the boost more than FSU

[TheATLCane]

Don’t think majority of HS kids know about the 01 team

[MumbleRap]

Think the 01 orange jerseys are coming out this weekend. Think we’re going to wear white and green bottoms vs Pitt later on (same combo we won rose bowl in)

[DTP]

Because they don’t need a reason to sell tickets for the FSU game. It will be a sellout. Pitt, on the other hand, won’t.

I mean after central Michigan turn out I wouldn’t be so sure about that lol.

[Shooter McGavin]

It’s because of the uniforms…..see what I did there

I was at that game. It was a great crowd considering the opponent but there were still probably 5,000 empty seats.

Exactly, and Pitt is not Central Michigan.

Pitt isn’t a guaranteed sell out. FSU is.

It’s 2026 and it’s Pitt I think the city knows by now Mario isn’t a fluke he’s the real deal. I fully expect a packed crowd for the rest of the season. Even for BC.

Pitt is going to be a sellout and I'll be there to curse on nordookie

[tr1ck]

Well there is a orange version of the 01 jersey maybe for FSU game also

This is my thought! They want asses in seats. UM v. FSU is automatic. Pitt? in So. Fla.? Not so much. So much I’m going with ticket sales. Tho I could be wrong.

[UnitedCanedom]

Maybe because Pitt was in the Big East

100% And pitt is ranked. Will sell out.

[Hstokes1447]

Should be a good experience for recruits

I assume you’re joking and know the home team can’t wear white without certain permissions ala Georgia Tech.

Not for long. They lost their best player and the backup is mid.
