Who will be the better QB on 8/31 -- Ward or Mertz?

CIS's fascination with very average mediocre QB's & slow DB's never ceases to amaze me.

They'll end up picking UF to win cause of Mertz and say he'll throw for 310+

Both teams have had months to scheme to stop the other QB. And there isn't a question about who the better DC is in this matchup and who has the better talent on defense. It's Guidry and it's UM.

The only way we lose is turnovers , Cam must hold on to the ball. Throw it away and put two hands on it when the pocket collapses. Punting is ok.

Yea it is in general for college guys, there’s not much to take from throws behind the line of scrimmage besides how many attempts the player is throwing in that area but for depth of target it’s smarter to take those out the equation to get a better summary

I agree with this. I really did want to hear from others because I don’t fully trust my judgment which can be too optimistic. I feel like Cam is 10x the QB that Mertz is. At the same time, he did play poorly in several WSU games where he tried to be the hero. So my own conclusion is that he’ll tear UF apart as long as he lets the rest of his offense pull their weight and doesn’t turn the ball over.

I would much rather the team drop a juicy deuce on the big gator logo at midfield after we whoop that ***, then use their gatorade towels to wipe our azzes clean.
