Who was the best team we played in 2025?

Indiana
Ole Miss
Louisville

* imo Louisville fully healthy is a playoff team and could beat Texas Tech Oregon or Ole Miss any given Saturday..
I agree Louisville wouldve beat any of the G5 teams easily, as a matter of fact they beat JMU 28-14 like the second game of the season. also remember SMU was made the playoffs the year before So we lost to some under rated good teams

For us Louisville, they way they play us tough up front and their scheme gives us problems. If Beck has an off game that’s how anyone beat us. And he did

When we did not make bad turnovers we were the best on field team in 25.
I don’t agree. A great team doesn’t change their identity to beat you. They line up believing they are better than you. Louisville knew they were outmatched and threw everything they could at us and we still had a chance at the end to win it.

Indiana. And it’s not close.

When we threw punches at A&M, OSU, and Ole Miss, they landed like upper cuts.

Indiana had counters. Still think we were better though.

1a. ***gies. Lots of talent on that team, and they were at home with 110,000 fruit baskets in that gah**** tornadic wind.

1b. Hoosier Daddy.

I know the easy answer is Indiana…but for some reason..I walked out of HR stadium after that Louisville loss thinking to myself..”Even if we had made it to OT…we still would have lost. These guys just had our number”…..I didn’t feel that way against SMU.

I’ve heard people say different things so I’m curious.

The easy answer is Indiana but we had three losses and didn’t play as well in the losses as we did in some of the wins.
We played well against Indiana for the most part, they were just the better team. Mendoza was just a very good QB who unfortunately we had to play in the Natty. We were just a year to late without Cam Ward

Being real they were probably third best. No argument if you said second or even fourth. But ohio state is by far the best. Next for me is Notre Dame or ole ****. We had to play **** near perfect in those games. Indiana we just left a lot on the field.
I’m still in utter awe of how we handled Ohio state.

Indiana

The only team this year that made me do the SMH Alonzo Mourning meme. From the 4th down conversion back shoulder throws to the conversion by their weirdo quarterback

Interesting argument, but the question was best team not best roster. Consistency is a key part of a successful team and Indiana by far the most consistent team.

Oh, and we have real data. Just like we kept referencing us better than nd because we beat them, well, Indiana beat Ohio St and everyone else.
