Who was the best team we played in 2025?

Ohio State, closely followed by Indiana. Flip a coin, really. I think Miami, Taint, and Indiana were the clear 3 best teams in the country.

Ole Miss a distant 5th. Best offense, but their defense was hot ***. ND was a better team. Now, when we played ND they weren't, but by the end of the season I think ND was clearly better than Ole Miss.

Tier 1:
Miami, Taint, Indiana

Tier 2:
Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Oregon

Tier 3:
Texas Tech, UGA, A&M

And then you get to the rest, which includes Bama, Texas, Vandy, BYU, Utah, Oklahoma. All those teams had major flaws.

So if you ask me who is the best team Miami played, for my money I'm going:

1AA. Taint
1AB. Indiana
3. Notre Dame
4. Ole Miss
5. A&M

They aren't the best, but UL made us look the worst out of all the teams we played.

UL beat us in every phase of the game. Offense, defense, coaching, everything top to bottom.

This. They really kicked our butts. The other thing to remember is that we played a full strength Louisville team. They had Brown healthy at running back and Chris Bell healthy at wide receiver. I know Jeremiah Smith is the best wide receiver out there but Chris Bell was the most dominating wide receiver we played this year. He was a menace. Teams that played Louisville after us didn't have to face these guys. They were a completely different team ravaged by injuries.

when we beat Ohio State, they were still considered the favorites to win the NC, even after losing to Indiana... the consensus all season was that they were the best team in the country... definitely most talented team....

but I think top to bottom, Indiana was the best team we played...
