Who the **** are we rooting for today?

Mario is not getting fired anytime soon. Why exactly would any Canes fan pull for our team to lose?
because it's a funny troll. Mario isn't getting fired win or lose today, but it's in inevitable. The sooner the better so I don't really care about the individual results any longer.

Thanks for your input. Very helpful
You’re welcome.

My other comment would be need to root for Miami and anybody who can win and help us. I don’t have a degree in odds making so unfortunately I can’t provide any deeper analysis.

Go Canes!

Don’t we want Louisville to win out and win the ACCCG?
That's one way of looking at it. UL losing today, means a high chance they do not make the ACCCG. Would have 2 losses with Clemson and SMU coming up. Think they lose one of those, which puts them at 9-3. The flip side is 12-1 ACCCG UL means our loss to them isn't a bad one. BUT I think it'll be tough for the ACC to get 3 teams in. If you have a two loss ACC Runner Up, UVA losing to UL and being 11-2, they probably get the nod (even though their schedule has been beyond easy and they genuinely don't have a good win).

Personally we need

- Mississippi state over UGA (they’re #5 now and that loss would drop them to about 11-12 imo)
- Texas Tech over BYU (BYU will drop to about 13-14 if that happens)
- SMU over BC (we aren’t making the ACC championship. We need Louisville & SMU to win out and somehow play in the championship. If the CFP values “good losses” that would further valid our teams strength, every loss that Louisville or SMU takes will be used to show how bad our loss to them is/was)
- A&M over Missouri
- Iowa over Oregon (that would be a VERY
INTERESTING CONVO. 0 qualities wins for Oregon and they haven’t looked great.
- Clemson over FSU (**** em that’s why)
- LSU over Alabama (having 2 losses to clearly inferior teams will be the conversation with Bama, I’d expect them to drop to 11/12
- Auburn over Vandy (that will immediately move us up 1 spot, they’d be eliminated from the playoffs with that loss)
- Louisville over Cal (that might move them to top 10, once again the better our losses look the better. I don’t like that that’s true but you can obviously see the committee is “valuing” good losses just like wins

Every week we have a chance to inch up and if we can show that we are actually the team the committee saw in weeks 1-5 rather than the last 2-3.
Forget Mario, these players need to be COMPETITORS, what coach should need to motivate ANYONE over these next 4 weeks? We cannot have Jojo dropping easy passes, we cannot have our ******* OL flinching every **** time, these are Experienced players, they need to stop ******* moving. Idgaf about Mirabal or Mario these lineman know better and have played WAY too much football to have as many penalties as they do.

Idc how we win today but we need to pass the eye test. Even if it’s Mario’s retarded philosophy. The committee wants to see us turn a corner and if we are the team we THOUGHT we were in weeks 1-5 then we will see it today.

Nothing is certain. The longer he stays, the worse off the program is.

He has lost the fans and the players. No one is defending him anymore. How many coaches come back from that?

It’s not personal, it’s business. It’s not working.

You think the big money is going to continue supporting this mess? They are most likely pulling out already.

I’m with everybody else, Mario’s the problem. But I don’t think he’s getting fired anytime soon. So I’m rooting for him to change. He fired Gattis. He fired Guidry. He’s shown an ability to identify a problem and course correct. Who knows.

I dunno if we lose and Gattis whips it out and runs around the field celebrating that could do it

So, he's gonna fire himself next. That's the logical next step right?
