Satterfield should be getting a look for what he’s done at Cincinnati this year. Have a hard time believing Matt Campbell goes another carousel cycle at Iowa State with all of these bigger jobs coming open again. They all missed on him the first time around.

Sumrall is going to end up somewhere else and Golesh is likely to as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if Jimbo Fisher got another shot somewhere. Whether it’s Arkansas, VT, or backfilling someone else leaving, I hear he’s pushing behind the scenes for many of the openings.

I don’t see how FSU can pay a $60M buyout.

60 million when you add in coordinators is scratch they don't have but I do see how they keep Norvell. Saudi money on deck

IMO, Franklin would Neutralize the advantage Mario has over FSU and UiF currently.

He’s not much better than Mario on game day but he’s slightly better with a better track record, although at a school with more resources at Pedo State.

Mario is running g out of time in terms of taking us to the playoffs and if Franklin somehow is pried to FSU, we must make it this year and we have next year and that’s it.

perfect for a reeling program that just needs 5 years of refresh and stability and time to get over the cost of a buyout. Then he retires and it costs you $0. All while identifying and filling the problems within your program and becoming a solid football team. Won’t work for LSU.

Took him 1 year and he’s already 1 week away from winning as many games as Mario in year 2 while inheriting a worse roster, with little, almost no, financial backing compared to the rest of the P4.

This isn’t realistic. No serious major university is gonna hire somebody to stop gap their program until he retires and the previous guy is off the books.

Yeah…I mean I ******* hate FSU but two years ago they were undefeated, year before 12-1 or whatever…point is you can win there in a way you can’t at Az State.

Also he’s used to working at a big safety school where the main career path is strip club.

It’s more than a stop gap. It’s hiring a good football coach to replace a bad football coach that happens to be cheap because he’s 65. For one of these programs that hasn’t been good lately it’s a smart move

He’s never done it at the P4 level. You might as well hire a young guy.

10-15 years ago I would’ve agreed with you on this. But with boosters and fans now paying the players, you can’t hire someone who you aren’t hiring to win big. That’s just the reality of the landscape these days.

think Mario will fulfill contract, recruits extremely well & has the NIL $$$$
we do not have that type of buy out $$$$
Franklin cannot win the big game ? that will not play at UF/FSU

I think those programs will accept what Penn State has built with Franklin over what they currently have done the last 10 years with the hopes Franklin overcomes his shortcomings at their institutions.

I don’t see Franklin succeeding in the SEC in terms of game day but I do see Franklin doing better in the ACC.

We shall find out in a few months if they go into an adventure together.

I don't know if the brief success prison Mike had was just an extremely lucky patch where everything lined up for him. He got extremely lucky in the portal at a time where not a lot of teams were using it. The portal is different now. I dont know but I sure hope they never figure it our.
