I lived in San Francisco in the early '70's. *** industry was well advanced there. I never indulged but I remember reading in the local paper about an incident where a guy staying overnight in a well-known motel--I think it was called Del Webb's or something--called out for a "house call" massage. Don't know if it involved more (like a happy ending) but the customer got to a point where he wanted more and wouldn't take no for an answer...turned out he found that he had just been serviced by a "*******". Customer went ballistic. The professional took a beating but survived.
