Who’s the most underrated Miami player ever?

D. King gets a fair amount of love on these boards, but I still don’t think it’s enough. Not sure if people realize how much he meant to that offense his last full year. That’s a sub .500 team without him.

It was a 7 win team even with D. King if they didn't have Borreagles.

Gerald Willis. How that dude went undrafted after the disruption he had in 2018 is bonkers
I’d say he has to be top 10 solely because he was as good as a collegiate DT can be that season. He was older right? So maybe it was like what FSU had with that unblockable Bjorn Werner guy because he was 44 years old in college lol

Proof and a reminder that representation matters, not working out for teams, etc. was bad advice. That being said, projecting NFL DL is really tough. He got looks from 3 teams and never really made it off the practice squad save for a game or two with the Fins. Dude was great here, though. One of the only guys we had in a long run that truly looked and played like a UM defensive tackle.

Still not enough accolades. He was the highest UM DL ever selected in a non-primary NFL draft.

No doubt, but its his humility that really separates him.
Oh I know...Drank beers with him in Tampa in 2009. Really does Love UM. All BS aside, I asked Butch about Sileo yrs ago. He said one tough scrappy SOB...

I always felt Richard Mercier was super underrated. He and Wise, although both undersized, gave it their all. I think Wise got some all
American consideration but Mercier is one of those long lost guys who gets lost in the shuffle of both very good linemen but not having great measurablea for the NFL.

Richard is a good dude as well. Still comes to plenty of games and tailgates and will never turn down a shot or two.

I always think of Bibla in that group of guys too. I believe he's a Pennsylvania State Trooper now- which would seem pretty fitting.
