Whether you believe it or not...

I don't think yesterday was about the staff. A few mistakes cost us the game. Not the game plan.
Lmao. Uh huh. The gutless 2nd half gameplan was not the staff at all. I love lurking to read your posts because the unintentional humor value is always so high. So clueless, yet so much conviction, and tie it all together with zero self awareness. Such a rich combination that makes for many laughs.

Go back and look. We ran the ball effectively on first downs with Duke. You can't fault Dobard because the kid was trying to make a play. If Brad puts some air under the ball we score on a long play on the combo route. Brad makes a great pass and Berrios need to make a great catch but didn't. They had multiple batted balls where they made great plays. Coley was open on the dig route which would have picked up a first down. That drive ended up with a field goal. On the last series Ramsey makes a great play and gets enough on Brad's arm because he had a guy open deep on one-on-one coverage running a vertical. A good pass and its a touchdown. Greene muffs the ball and it takes a fortunate bounce. The O'Leary play was bang, bang and it should have been reviewed. And let's talk about the Williams touchdown. Right defense. McCord tried to make a play. Winston was going to Greene who was blanked.

We really should delete this thread, i'm sure FSU fans have already took a snap shot of it and laughing their asses off at us right now

I don't know what is sadder the gator on our board talking coaching or the Mia fans liking every post he post.

This year reminds me very much like the 1999 season. We are getting better. I remember after the game Bowden was beside himself. He didn't think Miami would be as competitive as quickly as they were in 1999.

Lol so were suppose to be 4-0 against fsu lmao y'all act like losing scholarships and not going to bowl games, while fsu is getting top 5 classes in recruiting is nothing. Miami will be back it's just a matter of time.

The only two options are 0-4 and 4-0? You're telling me it's outrageous to beat FSU once in four years because we were three scholarships short?

I'm saying the way FSU has been recruiting it's hard to go on sanctions and keep up.

millertime if you think that overall class rankings is the main reason Miami cant beat FSU then thats sad

Please, just stop. That 1999 team beat 2 ranked teams one being the #9 one

sad, i'm sorry miller but it amounts to zero of the reasons as to why Miami cant beat FSU.

Dropped TDs, fumbles, and a PBU turned TD for, that's not on the staff.

Please just end yourself. This is what you said before:

Pic comes out small, but you said "[2014] is when we should see what an Al Golden team really looks like because his first real recruiting class are juniors."

But now suddenly, the staff isn't responsible for the **** ups of the kids they hand-picked and coached up.

You're a spineless sack of ****.

Don't even cry about the deflected pass for a TD. FSU dropped a wide open TD the play right before.

lrg, any response to the fact that 6 months ago, we should have expected results precisely because Al golden finally had his players, but now when those players don't execute, it has nothing to do with Golden?

I'll wait for you to expertly craft a non-sequitir where you do everything but say "I was wrong."

Nice try. Ohio State finished 6-6 that year. Who gives a flip what their pre-season rank was? The 1999 squad beat 1 ranked team--Georgia Tech in the Gator.

Last year reminded me of 1999 too. And so did 2012.

I agree with this. That was EXACT feeling I got after the FSU game. As sick and disgusted as I was, EVERYTHING being said, and a review of the whole season, really did feel like 1999 De Ja Vu. Right down to the FSU fans talking about Kaaya with the obvious concern about how much better he's going to get. 99 was a lot like this season. We came up short in some big games, but they were all games we could have won. We had some young guys, including a young QB, who you just knew was going to be special once he got some experience and the team got some depth.

I honestly don't have much faith in Golden. I think he's shown he has some huge flaws as an HC, and very likely is not the right man for this job. But this is also what people were saying about Butch in 99. And yet that scrawny kid from Cali, with a year of experience under his belt, came in, and the next year, we didn't come up short, we pretty much kicked everyone in the teeth but for one bad half of football, and deserved the NC.

99 was the first year in many that FSU hadn't smacked us around, and we gave them a tight game and put them on notice that the easy days were over. 99 was the year where we blew it against a decent PSU team in a game we should have won, but just came up a little short. The Nebraska game reminds me of that. Im fully convinced that if Kaaya is not a true frosh starting his first game on the road, we could have beaten UL this season.

Basically, despite all the shortcomings of this staff, this team has the talent to win the ACC next year IMO. Even with Golden's coaching, and even if they didn't make any changes on the staff. This team has improved from the beginning of the season. Yes the record sucks, and yes it hurts like **** to have blown that game against FSU. But that was a team that ran a train on everyone last year. Had a 3rd year Heisman winning QB, and we were rolling with a TRUE Frosh at QB, and we dominated them for most of the game.

Im sure I will be called a Golden slurper, etc... same old bullsh*t from the mindless idiots that cant break down an issue and look at anything rationally. But there are definitely parallels to 99 in this season. And the same horrible **** being said about Golden, was being said about Butch right up until then.

Im not saying this is 99. Or that this team will do jack next year. Golden may well be a total dud, and certainly has given many indications that he is, we could sh*t the bed, and flop next season. But unless we lost the next 2-3 games, I think its almost certain he's getting at least one more year. And I think he has the horses on this team, especially with a more experienced Kaaya, to win the coastal, and very possibly the whole ACC next year, despite the coaching deficiencies.

This is not a defense of Golden, its just an expression of a very likely scenario.

I get so tired of you bloggers and your bashing of coaches. The coaching staff is guilty of coaching safe with a lead (a little bit) but so did every other team that has been up on FSU. Louisville was up 21 and tried to eat away the clock the bottom line is this.

Dorsett - had a good game but dropped a TD, Bagley missed the FG on that drive , left with no points.
Berrios - dropped a TD, we left with no points on that drive.
Dobard- fumbles in wide open field

Kirby- dropped an easy int. Next few plays FSU scores points.
Jamal - Dropped an easy pick , FSU turns it into points..

You can scream coaches all you want , we dropped two Td's fumbled twice and dropped two ints.

Coaches coach and players play. You dont beat #2 team not making plays..

Nah man, we were conservative! That's what happened...CONSERVATIVE. Even Kirk Herbstreit said it, so trust me that's why we lost. I don't care what you think you saw, it's about... conservative!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Herbstreit tends to be wrong a lot. Did he have Miami competing for the national title in 2007? LoL

Look, we ran the ball effectively on first down in the second half. We opened up the half with a play action to Walford that was almost picked. We ran combo and Brad missed a touchdown on a long ball. Brad also had 4 batted balls where the receivers were open.
