That is not accurate at all. He has a house on or right off of campus provided by the school. He still has a house outside of Clemson and I am sure he goes back there occasionally. To say he "commutes" is an over reach and not accurate.
This is correct. If many of you remember, his wife didn't want to move down to Miami and stayed up in Clemson. He goes back and forth.

Miami money stretches further in SC. Probably finessed the school into paying for his travel back and forth… lodging too.

If I recall, he wasn’t looking for a job… he was approached. So he probably threw out what would normally be absurd conditions to see how badly we wanted him.

If he did I wouldn’t blame him one bit.

I mean he's obviously not going to live in hotel down here but keeping a house in South Carolina is different than his family STILL living there too.

But these are Mike Ryan's words and not mine too. I'm not trying to assail the guy either as I was a BIG and verrrry early proponent of offering him this job. My eyebrows just get raised anytime it can even be painted that someone isn't 1000% in on one of our jobs. We've had too much of that in the past where it turned out to actually be true.

He's stays at Saban's house on Jupiter Island on occasion. The fix is in that way for when Saban retires, him and Dabo will go to Bama. It also allows for them to get the best recruits we have locally.

I'm sure there's one wingnut here who will believe this. It's clearly a joke. Who cares where he is if he's performing his job? I sure as heck don't care where he lays his head at night. I will say that if his Wife didn't wish to join him down here, that's never a good sign for their marriage or his future here.
