Where does Trayone Gray fit with this team in the future?

This is the type of guy you leave on offense. He's a special talent.

What was his first carry again? Oh yea a touchdown.

Leave him at RB or WR. We have plenty of athletes for defense.

We gotta hang on to the RB class first but it's a valid question. Still have to see Walton actually reclassify and sign here before I believe it 100%.

I mean what if for some reason we finish strong and Duke decides to come back? Part of the issue is those freshmen that should come in are all pretty much ready to go IMO. Instant impact guys. Gray is ultra talented too though. He's got the physical gifts that only Scarlett can top though so he gets on the field somehow. Interesting question though for sure, I don't think WR is the best spot, but Coley will get to use some imagination with this insane group of talent.

No program in the country will have the stable of running backs like we have moving forward! Just get him on the field with the ball in his hands! We have to remember that he was a late enrollee. Next year the college football will be introduced to Mr. Gray! BEAST with the ball in his hands! GO CANES!!!

He's been marketed as a great athlete, me personally haven't seen much from him this season but if he's as good as everyone has been saying I don't see any reason why he would need to find a new position especially with the jump as far as knowing the playbook. He may force more red shirts than expected next year at that position. But if he more to change position based on his size he would be a nice H back. Could actually help out any many ways for the team.

Has great size & speed. I wouldn't mind seeing him on D if he ever got the mindset for it.

This, i would not be suprised to see him switch to that side of the ball. he was an ATH and he could be a good running back but with it potentially being deep at WR and RB. he may move to LB where depth is needed.

I don't know anything about him except watching some highlights. I do know he would LOOK to be an imposing SS coming down to hit stick and bust against the run. Mindset?? Thoughts??

Trayone is an athlete. He is going to help the team where ever he's needed ala Jason Geathers...

I tell you what. When Duke moves on to the NFL, Coley could run the Wildcat with him next year. The Wildcat is more dangerous when the player with the ball has the ability to run and occasionally pass.

I hope he's far more productive than Geathers. Be it a failure on the staff at the time or overhyped talent, Geathers didn't produce much at UM.

LULZ at taking a guy with his gifts and turning him into an H-back. UM fans are always intent on outsmarting themselves with their John Madden blocking obsession.

You find hosses to do the blocking. You get thoroughbreds like this guy and get the ball in their hands.

Should be playing safety or Anquan Boldin type WR

We have and will have plenty of RBs

A beast of a WR. Think, Andre Johnson throwing his Nebraska defender to the ground when he jammed him in the Rose Bowl.

Not saying he's Andre Johnson material, but could be a physical beast like Andre and man handle the opposing D-backs.

Agreed... The coaches (at that time) did not do Geathers any favors by bouncing him around. However, he was a soldier for going with the flow of what the team needed. He was a true jack-of-all-trades type of player for us.

As for Chocolate, he is more fluid than Geathers. Add those things plus Coley as the OC and Chocolate could truly be an asset to our offense.

Coley is still growing as a OC, but thus far he has shown flashes of being more creative in creating packages for our more athletic players.

Everyone raved about his HS film but I thought he looked very raw in it. Freakish athlete though.

I was hoping he'd be developed into a slash-type WR. Think plus-sized Dexter McCluster.

If Geathers was the backup running for the National Championship against OSU instead of Payton, we would have won that game decisively.

For some reason, he was used as a wide receiver for that game.
