Where are the patterns?

I just wanted to discuss what our potential weaknesses are. Every team has them but its hard for me to find any glaring ones. That is not moping that is just a discussion and obviously I have been very impressed with this squad.
Discussing anything other than positives is the cis definition of moping. I'd recommend you just pretend everything is great like the rest of us and enjoy September football.

I’ll give everyone another big concern:

Miami ends up 11-1 but doesn’t make the acccg or cfp

Literally a zero percent chance of this happening.

11-1 Miami has wins over ND, USF (who very well may be in the playoff) by 100, and all but one of UiF, FSU, SMU, Louisville, NC State, and Pitt.

We know the committee values "ranked wins", so I'll even throw out the biggest "ranked win" we could have, which would be FSU, most likely.

11-1 Miami with wins over ND, USF, UiF, SMU, Louisville, NC State, and Pitt and 1 loss on the road to FSU is 8 gazillion percent in the playoff.

Don't bother, my man. Trust me. It's a valid discussion, obviously. I'd say we have about a ~15% chance of going 12-0, so we're going to stumble at some point here before the end of the year, most likely. Discussing how it could happen it's a worthy discussion, to me. We know the team isn't going to play great 9 more times and we know someone is going to play really well against us at some point.

Ok 10-2 Miami. We drop FSU and say Pitt. My point is that we don’t make the acccg again and now are having to make it on sos. Or we do and drop the game to GT

The biggest concern is just waiting to see how we perform on the road against a good Offense.

We've played some sh*tty QB's thus far & the Defense hasn't really been challenged, dealing with the pressure of playing a team that isn't just going to play directly into our hands. There are teams that will see what we do on tape & figure out a way to neutralize it. What will our counterpunch be in that scenario?

We still have several tests left in the season & if you understand the game of Football, you know we're not always going to play at our best. The challenge will be how do we respond when a team comes out against us & gives us everything they got?

There are other concerns, but I don't think I'm allowed to bring them up yet.

But otherwise, considering the schedule, we've done what we're supposed to do through 3 weeks.
FSU will be the biggest test. They will score points, and it’s our first game on the road. Will be a packed and loud house with that stupid af chant. We’ll really know what we have after that imo.

OK that's not what you said. 10-2 is an entirely different discussion. There's really no point in doing this exercise right now because we have absolutely no idea how our 10-2 looks versus the 15 or so other teams in considertion.

11-1 Miami is in. Done deal.

10-2 Miami, now we start doing mental gymnastics.

Just keep winning.

I’m high as a kite on prescription pain meds. Probably shouldn’t be posting but I’m bored laying around waiting for more football. 😂🤦

I was thinking 11-2 or 10-2 but also was like no ******* way this team drops 2.

How do we respond when we get punched in the face?
We’ve yet to trail in a game, how do we react to that!
My guess is both those questions will be answered over the next two games.
Teams are going to play out of their *** every week against us, even more so than usual. That should pose some significant challenges, regardless of who the team is.

(PS. En serio, no soy un maricon. ******, si. Maricon, no)
(PSS. Soy un guerro viviendo en LA, cercando por muchos mexicanos....por favor disculpame por la jerga mexicana....meng)

huh? this wasn't directed at you meng.

one pattern that is concerning but doesn't seem to catch the attention of you mongrels is the extra point operation.

it almost cost us the game against ND and will cost us anxiety if not greater down the road.

it is malignant operation that has been present for all THREE game. @Empirical Cane, is that a pattern?
Am I missing something? I know there was a botched snap on a field goal attempt but extra points (and field goals that were actually attempted) have been perfect so far. Now, I’m not nearly as confident in either of our kickers as I was in the Borregales brothers but I’m not seeing some dire situation.

I think this is what kept us holding on to hope for the playoffs last year. We woulda got smoked by a lot of teams but deep down when you have a punchers chance like our offense did last year, you always feel like you’re in it

If we get down a few scores this year for whatever reason, we probably don’t have that firepower. Then again maybe we do I don’t know

To be fair I think every team is having the same conversations right now

I'm not a mope but OJ has been beat more than once. Brown too.

I still have questions cocerning our secondary. I believe they are improved. How much? Remains to be seen. We have yet to play a team with a downfield passing attack.
I agree. We haven’t played a team with a passing pulse. Lagway is going to chuck the ball downfield so I imagine we at least learn something this next week
