Where are the patterns?

The biggest concern is just waiting to see how we perform on the road against a good Offense.

We've played some sh*tty QB's thus far & the Defense hasn't really been challenged, dealing with the pressure of playing a team that isn't just going to play directly into our hands. There are teams that will see what we do on tape & figure out a way to neutralize it. What will our counterpunch be in that scenario?

We still have several tests left in the season & if you understand the game of Football, you know we're not always going to play at our best. The challenge will be how do we respond when a team comes out against us & gives us everything they got?

There are other concerns, but I don't think I'm allowed to bring them up yet.

But otherwise, considering the schedule, we've done what we're supposed to do through 3 weeks.

So far we still give up too many big plays & our offense hasn't produced a lot of 40+ yard explosives. That's all I've got. We've got a really good team. It's cool.

Well we have played two ranked teams without Trader, Lyle, and a 💯 healthy Lofton. I expect the stats to continue to look blah until we start playing the back 7 of the schedule. There are tons of opportunities for big plays against them

We're making mistakes like any team does, but where are the patterns? One time OJ gets beat. One time ZP misses a tackle. One time Mo can't catch the outside run. One game the qb run gets us. But where are the patterns of mistakes repeating?

What are the real weaknesses on this team (assuming no injuries....)?

When has this board been this happy? I mean even the mopes aren't moping. Every time we get ranked high, there are consistently mopes getting downvoted for pointing out slight issues with the squad that always come back to bite us.

Can someone tell me some ******* concerns about this team so I don't pass out off the kool aid???

The last time everyone was this happy was when we were in basically the same exact spot last year, 4-0 and getting ready to blow VT out. Then the ACC happened.

Let's all pump the brakes. I'm as excited as anyone, and this is exactly the team I thought we'd have all summer, so I'm 0% surprised, but we need to win the ACC, finally. It's time. And we're 0-0 in the league.

Just stay healthy and keep getting better each week, and we'll be fine. Pass out off the kool-aid, you're allowed to, we're just fans. But we have a long way to go.

If you put a gun to my head and made me tell you, injuries aside, what could be our undoing in a game where we truly run into a team that's better than us and we lose, I would say it would be a high powered passing attack, because we really haven't been challenged there yet. Like someone who can protect, at least relatively, against our pass rush while challenging us downfield. Not that I don't think the safeties can do it, I just haven't seen it yet.

But does that team even exist? You wanna sit back and hold the ball in the pocket and wait for plays to develop down the field with 4 and 3 coming to eat your face? Good luck.

really DID NOT LIKE BECK RUNNING UP THE MIDDLE AND USING HIS SHOULDER AGAINST THREE BULLS!!

I'm not a mope either but they have a point. We've been down this road before. This *feels* different, but we'll only know if it really is in late November.

last year the score was
UM 22
USF 15 at halftime!!

and it could have been much worse than that if not for penalty.

I’ll give everyone another big concern:

Miami ends up 11-1 but doesn’t make the acccg or cfp
Pretty unlikely. If we beat UF and FSU, we'll be at worst top 5. One loss to a mediocre ACC team (which seems to be typical for us) probably wouldn't move us down that far. I would be very happy if we are 11-1 at the end of the regular season.

We won’t see a downfield passing attack until Louisville I think. They are probably the best offense we see all year. Although the Wolfpack look good on offense and bad on defense

So just to be clear. You are looking for complaints whilst mocking "mopes." I think the truly miserable ones are on display.

Florida A&M actually gave us some issues as well if we are being honest. That pop belly Richardson was moving the ball on us

I know ND just dropped another one to A&M but ND is better than any team we beat last year by a significant margin

I understand the hesitation though of course. Long way to go.

I just wanted to discuss what our potential weaknesses are. Every team has them but its hard for me to find any glaring ones. That is not moping that is just a discussion and obviously I have been very impressed with this squad.
