When you guys watched Mendoza, did you really think "Oh, yeah, this guy should be the #1 overall pick in the draft!!!!"

I don't know how his pro career will go because a lot depends on environment. But I'd be surprised if he's not a longtime starter.

He’s very efficient and does all of the right things. Can make all of the throws. He’s not that spectacular player but he doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. If he gets in the right system he will have a good career.

Unfortunately the Raiders organisation are not.

Will be very challenging for him to succeed there with his talent level. Would likely take a generational prospect to make it work.
 
Never had anything against this guy other than he beat Miami. I hope he does well. Seems like a good dude that comes from a good family.
 
When I watched I concluded he's probably the best bet if you're qb selecting , but that it appears to be a very weak qb draft year.

This is a weak weak year for QBs. Nothing is guaranteed, but I would have traded out of #1 and load up on draft picks for next year when I think there will be multiple great players available at so many positions.
