When you guys watched Mendoza, did you really think "Oh, yeah, this guy should be the #1 overall pick in the draft!!!!"

The point is that it’s extremely difficult and rare to do what Mendoza did last season. He won everything. The hatred is mostly sour grapes and people upset about how wrong they were.

I don't know how his pro career will go because a lot depends on environment. But I'd be surprised if he's not a longtime starter.
He’s very efficient and does all of the right things. Can make all of the throws. He’s not that spectacular player but he doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. If he gets in the right system he will have a good career.
