When you guys watched Mendoza, did you really think "Oh, yeah, this guy should be the #1 overall pick in the draft!!!!"

I can't dog on the guy and like most in the NFL, it'll depend on his supporting cast.

What the NFL won't do is give him those buffers on his WR's like we did. Man we ****ed up that first half, both sides of the ball.

He will need the best oline in the game or he won’t make it to 3 years. Going #1 certifies he will not. Another system qb entering the league with limited skill set

He didn’t s*** on us. We passed on him. Put yourself in his shoes. Yes they are IU legends and a Miami kid who got passed over won a Heisman and NC. But they represent South Florida and he’s a good kid. He’s a kid I want my son to look up to as a QB.

Give the kid his props. Win with class lose with class.

Gutsy kid who throws a good ball but even his coach alluded to him being a one read qb.

Good luck with that in the NFL.

Based on what the telecast said seems his mom is pretty butthurt we didn't recruit her kid out of HS. Somehow Miami is expected to recruit every kid who plays football in South Florida even if they are lowly rated in HS and Yale and Cal are their best options.

Mendoza is an absolute gamer, plays with heart and grit, and I would have loved for him to be a Cane.

At the same time, the guy has no shot in the NFL. Not even a chance.

If he gets drafted by a garbage team that needs a QB, he'll be thrown into the deep end and I dont see him swimming. If he's drafted to a team with a starter, he's going to be Brad Kaaya. A career backup who doesn't play bc he's just not good enough.

Carson was the better QB last night.

Been saying all year he is a game manager. All he does is rpo and back shoulder throws

Lmao that’s crazy!
He reminds me of Andrew Luck

I haven’t thought he was a serious NFL player all season. He’s not bad. I just feel like he’s the perfect fit for what IU does.
