When Did It Go Off The Rails For Enos at Miami?

I thought maybe it was all O line after UF. Then it started to look like confusion. Maybe it was getting used to a whole new system. It wasnt until GT that I was fully convinced that Enos was never going to turn the corner.

I think there was real fear of what "going fast" would ACTUALLY look like with the three headed QB running it. Talk about some fast three and outs. Manny knew this. Enos knew this. They wanted as much clock off as possible, because they knew they were seriously handcuffed at QB. There's a huge difference in what you want to run and what you can run.

If you don't believe Manny didn't want clock to burn, check him with 12:30 left in the CMU game. Dude was milking the clock for all it was worth before calling a timeout. Why? He wanted to escape CMU with a win. He talks of wanting to go fast, but he can't instill enough discipline in his team to go fast. It's a real problem.

I expect better results from Lashlee, but only if he brings some discipline tricks with him that Manny doesn't know. Otherwise, look for our D to really get exposed because our O can't convert third downs. Then, watch for us to slow things down to protect that D.

Either Lashlee fixes this, or Manny is fired.
 
I thought it was when Cortez Kennedy and Russell Maryland took turns rag-dolling him up in East Lansing.

Enos calling playing action when Kosi was on the VT 10 yard line, no time outs, and 11 seconds left. Who the fawk thought we were going to run the ball? I almost starting crying.
 
His failure to adjust the offense he wanted to run. Granted it was **** from the start, but try something different instead of play action deep drop passing attack that's getting your qb killed.

Moreso, what's up with this coordinator? I sat there mad as **** because I couldn't figure out why we were determined to keep trying what didn't work well.

You work out those kinks in practice or in a scrimmage against BCU, etc. But in that game, you've got to go with your best players and your best plays.

All the cute, snarky comments aside, something had to have happened behind the scenes after Louisville and before the losing streak. We played with speed and energy against Louisville, and we were winning, then all of a sudden the kids stopped trying. There is more to the story than "bad play calling".
