What's your short list look like? Golden replacements

I like Kaaya but I would like to see a spread style offense in the future with a mobile quarterback.

i'm starting to realize that head coaching experience is overrated. Miami needs an Xs and Os guy...and there's alot of coordinators out there that will quickly solve our problems. Xs and Os and recruiting. the new guy just has to be able to do those. Narduzzi and Dan Quinn are real coaches....they just need to have a monster recruiting staff surrounding them and we are GRAVY.

No particular order

Some Realistic HC Candidates (in no particular order, not bringing up Butch, Morris or Frost)

List (A) [Coaches with HC Experience]

1. Chud
2. Mark Hudspeth
3. Josh McDaniels
4. Lovie Smith (was interested in the USC job)
5. Raheem Morris

List (B) [Coaches with no HC Experience]

1. Rhett Lashlee
2. Justin Wilcox
3. Tom Herman
4. Nathaniel Hackett
5. Dan Quinn
6. Kyle Shanahan
7. Jake Spavital
8. Josh Heupel
9. Pep Hamilton
10. Jeremy Pruitt

List (C) [Coaches to watch if our Admin doesn’t make the necessary move this year]

1. Kevin Wilson
2. Rod Carey
3. Jim McElwain

Jedd Fisch would be a disaster. I'd rather have Coley as my head coach (note: I want neither). Fisch cannot evaluate and recruit anywhere near the level required for this job.

I agree. I think Fisch is an NFL coach all the way. The recruiting is not his strong suit and that is a big part of it.

what's the consensus if Butch isn't a possibility?

Bc I don't think we can afford Golden buyout plus a HC under contract buyout, stoops is not an option
I sort of feel like rich rod isn't either.

Chad Morris
Narduzzi
Chud
Schiano

Those I think would be only options at all

But I think this is why we go w Butch

Please post the details of the buyout.

Stoops and Patterson are pipe dreams.

It's Butch or bust for me but I think Schiano will get it. Not a huge fan at all of his, but he'll be an upgrade over Al. He'll have us winning 9 or 10 consistently.

LULZ at Stoops being a pipe dream. That Kentucky gig is a stepping stone job for him.

Yea a stepping stone to a big time program. Our job right now isn't much better than the Kentucky one.

You must be a new fan if you don't know that the UM job is infinitely better than Kentucky. Everyone knows that.

I think people don't understand what is going on at all. Was Coker not one of the highest paid coaches at the time as well?

I don't get the Pruitt stuff. Guy has never been a head coach on any level. ****, he was a HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT until 2007.

This is a foolish post but the main reason is because it lacks logic. These coaches are not born HC. They must rise up through the ranks and start somewhere.

Honest question, let's say the Admin was willing to bring in Davis. Do you think these two would be potential coordinators (currently unemployed as coaches)?

Chud (OC) and Schiano (DC).

Both have been NFL head coaches. I don't think either one would take a college coordinator gig. I'm not saying it's never happened, but I don't think these guys would.

I'm curious as to why they aren't really coaching. I'm sure they settled their contracts and are available.

The reason they are not coaching is bc they both bombed as head coaches in the NFL...... and the same time, Pete Carroll also struggled with his first shot in the NFL

I think Schiano might be crazy ..... that crap where at the end of the games he had his players create scrums. I know people will say we need more of this heart in Miami but with everything going on in the NFL, no one touches him ..... time to start working on Saturdays
