What's needed to save the season

Nobody wants to hear this but the odds are greater that Manny turns the program around than the odds of finding a coach that will come in and make Miami a playoff team. That is not a endorsement of Manny but more of a reality check of how hard it is to find a good coach, especially at a school like Miami.

The grass is always greener but there's only about 5 green lawns in the entire development.

texas has more money than anyone and pays the going rate for coaches and still can't find anyone. there are about 3 coaches that can turn any program around. the rest just have to be the right fit.

@Cribby already said our only chance is his wife wants back. Otherwise why the heck would he come here

don't underestimate an unhappy wife. Next, it's not like he can't win here. Then there is the money thing. UM will have to pay up and at least match what Oregon is willing to offer. Then if we can the AD and get serious at the athletic dept. it would help. He is from here, as his family. Put all those together and it can happen.

Play your best players.

We heard all about how Arroyo is the next great TE, how the freshman WRs were ahead of schedule, how Taylor was ripping ****ies in camp. Stop being a bunch of buffoons and do your jobs, stupid god **** idiot coaches.

The offense needs to score more than 18pts per game (that is the average right now)!

We can blame the D for everything but the truth is our D has given up 30 pts per game with 44 of those against #1 even with Jennings and Ivey playing.

Solutions:
1. Try Justice/Williams at RG/RT. Keep using Scaife as a TE (82) and don't get afraid to keep him in for max protection with Mallory sitting or in 12 personnel.
2. Remove Wiggins from your personnel groups to let Brison get as many snaps as possible.
3. Get more 12 set looks with Arroyo and Mallory blocking out wide for a WR.
4. Stop expecting Cam to be able to pick holes in a Zone run game. He isn't that guy! Chaney has that vision and cutting ability to bounce it to the hole based on how the D plays against our zone blocking.

Outside of changes in personnel, they could run more man schemes as the OL looked pretty good in goal-line running Man with Scaife at TE and Arroyo at HB. They could ask the OL to use more cut blocks. Most importantly, they should be sitting kids that aren't engaging the first defender available! Gaynor, Rivers, and Donaldson all passing off guys when 2 or 3 defenders are rushing is stupid!

On D:
Keep Ivey off the field.
Find someone outside of Jennings for MLB! 0 tackles against App State, ZERO!
Pray Huff shows up big time in his first chance.
Get more snaps for the young ones: JW, Kam, Chase, LT. They don't need to start but it isn't hard to put LT in on 3rd and long with one goal: tackle the ball carrier (QB, RB, WR).

U really think that guy sits Flagg and Jennings? Replace Simpson as well

It took him an entire season to sit Pope and Wiggins, so the odds are low. But he did do it. He's not blind, not even stupid, just doesn't make decisions and take action quickly enough. And isn't willing to admit to himself his own failures. Sign of a coach still learning on the job.
