Well let’s not get too carried away. He did say, “All due respect, I love how you play, but don’t get used to this ****”. I mean that sounds on brand for ole Fran. 🤷🏾‍♂️. I didn’t take it as him disrespecting Irvin. In fact, I think he purposely did it because he knew Irvin was live on YouTube.

That said, someone clearly didn’t tell him we don’t play them again anytime soon so all of that rah rah talk was all for nothing.
 
He’s a clown. Went from throwing down the U after a couple good plays, to complete meltdown.

Mario already seems to be disliked in the coaching circles. Most likely because of that tough guy persona that we all joke about. Might as well own it and play that villain role and not give a ****.

Irvin's response, "I appreciate the intensity", I think shows that this isn't two guys having fun and talking smack. That's a de-escalating response.

I don't know if he feels he has to be different and loud because Syracuse wouldn't get attention otherwise, and I would agree with that approach to some extent. Or if he's genuinely unstable.

It was as obvious as when Trader was tackled in the end zone against SMU. But surprisingly we actually got a call. So Fran proceeds to go nuts for like 10 minutes. He looked like a buffoon out there. He screams of road rage out there. Then he gets into it with Mario for like 5 minutes. The whole time I am thinking, does this guy remember he is the head coach and maybe concentrate on that? He won’t last long there. He is a clown. Playing fake tough guy doesn’t win you games as a coach.

As we have seen...too many times...

Too much emotion vs. constipation fake tough guys. One won against a **** team, the other knocked a team out of the playoff. Two clowns.
